So Oscar's fired Ring's long time editor Nigel Collins and other senior staff ?

A lot of people were worried when the once great Ring magazine was taken over by Golden Boy promotions, fearing the obvious: that it's editorial integrity would be compromised, and GB fighters would start to be favoured by the magazine.

But we were told this would never happen. Now they've sacked such a respected editor as Nigel Collins, you have to fear the worst.

It's strange how none of the main boxing websites are commenting on this turn of events......why would that be ? Not because they're hoping to get a job there themselves, surely.

I'm sure Eric Armit will mention it in his next Snips and Snipes.

There was a chunky thread about it on ESB.

Apparently that chap Doug Fischer will be the new editor.

Can't say I'm fussed. It's perhaps one of the most boring magazines in the sport and usually months behind the rest. For every decent piece, their are three that are such heavy going and pointless that I give up.

I like their shiny belt, that's it.

A Napolean Pig moment for internet writers however as Fischer gets the top job.

I like Dougie Fischer, their site is excellent. all their old mags going online as well at some stage, that will be class.
