PADDY DOHERTY JETS OUT TO BELFAST TO SUPPORT FRIEND AND HERO, TYSON FURY


Winner of Celebrity Big Brother and star of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, Paddy Doherty flies out to Belfast on Friday morning to attend friend and fellow traveller Tyson Fury’s next big fight. Tyson, currently British and Commonwealth heavyweight boxing champion, is set to take on the mighty Nicolai Firtha on Saturday 17th September at Belfast’s King’s Hall. One of the celebrity’s favourites, Tyson Fury always draws in a star studded crowd and this time is no different with Paddy Doherty, self-confessed ‘biggest fan’ of Tyson, jetting over to Belfast with his family to support him saying he would ‘watch boxing 365 days a year if he could’.

Paddy will be attending Tyson’s weigh in on Friday lunch time at 12.30pm at:

Kennedy Shopping Centre

He will then be attending the fight on Saturday night at:

The King's Hall Complex,
Balmoral,
Belfast,
BT9 6GW

The fight will be broadcast live and exclusively on Channel 5. Both Tyson and Paddy are available for interview at request. Paddy will also be appearing on the Late Late Show in Ireland to discuss his passion for all things Irish, his Tyson support and his Big Brother win.

Ooh now you've got a job on your hands. Sure, this one is worse than the one with the tedious link to the Irish beating USA in the rugby world cup, but now how do you go down from this? Reality TV bloke goes to see the fight!!!

I thought that Fury exposed this bloke as being - surprise, surprise - rather economical with the truth?

I think the bloke comes across as ok...Alot of people dont like him&think he is a grass,he took a kick in&didnt press charges but the Police carried on the charges&he didnt want to....So make your own mind up

He took a good kick in,so i was told by my traveller pals&he took a pasting&didnt press charges,but some of the Gypsy comminity think hes a grass,but the police carried on the charges....

I read that he was giving evidence against the other guy.

Could have just said didn't see who did it. And the guy got off with self defence.

I wasn't thinking of this mate...I'm sure a read something about this Doherty chap rather embellishing his streetfighting legend, i.e. he wasn't very good anyway and hasn't had a square go since the 80s or something...

I think Tommy is referring to the recent court case after Paddy had been badly beaten up and then told the judge from the witness box that he made up all the stories on the t.v programmes for his image. Or the more recent stories after he got beat up, again, in the rematch and now his younger cousins are on remand for it.

I hope you have someone ready to translate whatever is said into Irish at the Kennedy centre. It is home to the only Sainsburys in the GB with gaelic listings
