I fear for George at the moment. He has been out of action since May and now it looks like he wont be back in the ring until December?

It just seems Warren has his golden boy DeGale and having Mr Groves under his wing as well makes it easier for Frank to get the rematch on earlier than it should perhaps happen. Of course this is just my opinion, what do you reckon?

I hope your wrong,but i think that's what Frank is planning.He should be fighting in London in October not Liverpool in December.It looks like he will have a 7 month lay off which is not good.He had massive momentum in his Career when he beat Defail which now seems lost.If he fights Defail early next year and loses, his career would get stalled,when he should not fight Defail untill one of them has a World title at least.

Groves is still managed by Booth and Hayemaker, Warren will only be promoting the fights.

That is the set up as far as I am aware. Warren will do most of the donkey work for a nominal fee.

Groves would be better off fighting in London than Liverpool.

I don't think people realise how big the Degale fight was - he picked up a lot of fans - people that never watch boxing were talking about that fight on the Monday after. That hasn't happened at British level for years.

He must be getting an absolute truckload of wedge to fight in Liverpool.

I know that George has been in training camp for a while now and he was expecting to announce a fight in London in October!

Now he isn't scheduled to fight until December, all seems a bit strange.

Groves & DeGale will fight for a WBO belt at some point you watch..

To be fair to them both, they have already beaten a champion in their early careers <cough Cleverly>

Everybody seems to think Groves has made a mistake signing for Warren, but surely he isn't that stupid.

He must be getting a good deal out of it otherwise he wouldn't have done it. Things are rarely what they seem on the surface and Warren knows the longer he leaves the Groves v DeGale rematch the more money it will make.

I expect Groves to defend the British Title a few times and DeGale to win and defend the European title and then in 2-3 years they will fight each other for a World Title and it will be huge in Britain. Warren surely knows this is the best way to make money.

Unless he doesn't think both of them will make it to world level, in which case he needs the rematch ASAP to make the cash, and discard the loser.
I fear that while Booth will still manage Groves, if he's signed to be promoted by Warren they will have to agree on opponents, and this could make Groves inactive. I personally doubt Groves beats DeGale again, and think even less so if he fights a lot less. Will make interesting watching..!
