I thought he took some big shots and took them well (from a big fella as well).
He just needs to learn a little defense and not take silly ones.

Thats what i thought,he got hit with like a 4-5 punch combo and stayed on hes feet and kept his composure and came back and stopped the guy .
Could David Price of took that combo like Fury did thats the question the thread starter should be asking

I think Fury is really durable. He took some big hits and recovers really quickly -a great gift to have.I can see him doing very well.He is racking up experience -needs to become more polished, but he can find himself in difficult situations and find his way out of it as well -useful for the big fights.

I thought he came out of the fight showing a good chin aswell. Didn't go down from some classy punches, his defense on the otherhand seems to need alot of work. Jab looked good and there wasn't any slappin' either. He's a work in progress but looking better, and every new interview or segment on him he just comes across as a nice guy (maybe too nice for a boxer) He's the perfect boxer for terristial television now if channel 5 could just get rid of the adverts between every round, manage to keep the signal for every round and stop using Fury fights for Big Brother promotional work

Some good points made about Fury's chin , defence etc , What makes me worry is his condition. He's never been in shape in any of his fights. Take a look at the likes of Bruno , Lewis , Tyson , all came in greast condition come fight night, for a young lad his condition needs some working on methinks.

His chin seems reasonably sturdy, but if he keeps leaving it out there to hit, he's going to be in trouble soon.

I've always like Fury as a boxer but not always as a person. I think his interview after the fight was one of his best and honest so far. Admitted he gets hit too much and needs to work on his defense. As long as he goes away and does that, i still see no reason why he cant at least fight for a world title.

He has no chance in with the Klitchko's at the minute, so he may as well take his time and let them retire

I have not seen him look like dropping at any point yet. Its heavyweight fighting and even some of the worst heavies can still hurt with 1 punch. The fact he stayed on his feet and came back to win was sign he can give and take.

Remember, Price has not had his chin tested yet. He got dropped in the amateurs against a much smaller guy to Fury.

Would be an interesting fight, but not as easy like Wesley suggests.

gotta admit he won me over on saturday....he clearly enjoys a scrap in sharp contrast to certain hw champs / contenders...

the fact he's a little too brave and eager sometimes and the experience that brings should stand him in very good stead if he makes it to world level....

Could Price hurt Fury? of course he can, but we've not seen what happens when Price gets hit by a big punch yet.

But i have seen Price get clocked a couple of times in the Am's and he rocked more that Fury did on Saturday night.

I think Pricey will hold a shot better with the extra weight he's grown into. He doesn't look as gangly as he did in the ams.

I like the chap, he seems easy to like and you cannot help but want him to do really well in this game. However he does not punch his weight, his conditioning is below par, he loses his shape (posture, stance, style etc) too easily, looks ragged after a couple rounds and his chin is not teak. He has been stunned and wobbled a few times now.

Shame but come on now, this is not the next big thing

Give the guy time - he needs a good 3 years before he can be considered in the "elite" heavyweight level. He's learning with every fight, he's raw and I think it would be insane to rush him to world level anytime soon.

Good luck to him - I think he has got potential to make it to the top, and a fight with Price would be a good battle and learning curve for both.

Fury you can watch with the family. Feels like old times.

Now I’m likely to get pulled up by some current pros and ex pros but it looks to me like he can throw a good jab. It’s quick and accurate. I worry he switches off from time to time.

What really worries me is that he’s not in better shape. I mean that should be the minimum. Okay, he doesn’t need to be a body builder but he is carrying soft flesh that he need to lose.

Fury, Price, Towers… HW division could be shaping up over here.

I would love to teach him how to box.

Why the hell isn't Hennessey paying for decent sparring and/or insisting he makes the most of the Manny Steward connection? I absolutely guarantee you that under any other manager these excuses for Tyson's sloppiness wouldn't keep coming up again and again. There is no excuse - if you want to be the best you have to get the best training, and if Fury isn't getting it that's as much Hennessey's fault as his own.
