It's not really up to me to comment on others businesses. All I will say is that I'm here to grow the sport not restrict access to it.

predict it will be replays only of their promoted fights from yesteryear, same ones over and over again, odd interview and one decent fight card per month.

no ppv but will launch a channel at a tenner a month one assumes he will put his shows on their in due course, and then they wonder why folk use streams...get your just desserts if this is the way its going.

Sky sports is only £7.50 a month for 24/7 x 5 channels

I think thats what he's saying. Matchroom ain't going nowhere else but Sky, they are financially in love. Sky have said they are not interested in PPV boxing in the near future. I'm not sure whether this is good news or bad news really. It means we'll see Froch's next few fights as part of the regular subs.

Given that Sky are concentrating on subs, not PPV, I wouldn't de surprised if Allegedly follows this model. Then it all comes down to how decent your stable is. One of the reasons he had to sign Groves. I'd love to know how much it cost him.

Pains me to say it, but I think subscription route would be a very smart move by Allegedly. All he has to do is keep/sign the boxers that people want to see, and he controls the whole shooting match - all the revenue is coming to him. Jesus, he can even sell adverts. He can do what he likes with the undercards, rather than be dictated to. It'll be Allegedly fighter versus Allegedly fighter, promoted and broadcast by Allegedly. Expect one decent headline fight per month, a load of prospects fighting journeymen on the undercard, and re-runs. Whether this would offer value or not is entirely down to the individual.

To generate £120 a year in PPVs at £15, he have to stage eight stacked cards. How many did he put on last year? I don't recall, but it wasn't eight. To generate £120 a year subs, when he's got a lot more flexibility with the content, re-runs etc, seems a much better idea. I assume you'll be able to come and go as you please too.

I liked Steady Eddie's comment though - very smooth. The media training is paying dividends.

But who will pay an extra sub for one stable? I won't !

Would not be surprised if he was able to get Don King on board for the few cards he does these days.
