It's going to be interesting to see how this all pans out. Definitely a big gamble by FW, who can't be sure if this is going to be a great move, or a possible disaster. I imagine there's no real precedent along these lines for him to follow...

A three-year deal with Sauerland ? It sounds like WBO heaven.

Will it be on Virgin? I can't see this doing very well.

There's going to be a hell of lot of competition for this allegedly channel to contend with as many small promoters (like Micky Helliett recently) are going to be using the Youtube live system.

Advertising I expect. With Warren leaving I expect Hattons to get more dates. They going to need lots of capital investment to make this work as I can't see them getting the subscriber numbers.

I have a feeling that the people from Epix, that US online channel, are involved in this somewhere.

Can't see it working myself, and i'd put a fair wager on it that it wont.

Its one thing having sky sport channels with a multitude of sports at your disposal, its a completely different story having a single sport channel offering at best 2 or so live cards a month.

How many folk are going to spend 120 quid a year for a single sport channel? - outside of the hardcore, it isn't going to be many, let alone in this climate.

Works for Racing UK, whose overheads must be much more with a dozen outside broadcasts a week, plus all those football club channels.

Put the lot on a global boxing channel,I'll pay for it.

Difference with Racing UK is that it screens 'Live' racing virtually everyday that punters can obviously gamble on and the football club channels have a lot bigger audience than say a fight such as Tony Bellew V Orvil McKenzie.

I can't see this working at all. With Primetime and allegedly now asking for your hard earned money, it only spells out bad news for the sport. It's constantly making it harder and harder for the working man to watch and with that comes dwindling interest.

I'd consider myself boxing hardcore, but no way will I be paying an extra £10+ a month to view a couple of half decent cards when I'm all ready forking out for Sky. There is no chance of leaving Sky either because without it, you have no chance of watching Football, most boxing and my other favourite sport Darts.

Some British MMA organisations have been approached to show cards too.

But it cant be good for those boxers profiles.

This may be a little naieve, but what happens if a FW gets a title shot against a Hatton fighter?

Hatton has the deal with Sky and wins the rights to stage the fight and therefore the fight is on Sky. This means that an FW fighter isn't fighting on his own TV channel and thus diluting the qulaity on offer.

I really can't see how this is going to be value for money on any level
