Got a question for Frank?
As part of our ‘Spit Bucket’ column we’d like your Qs for our ‘Four for Frank’ Q&A feature with Frank Maloney.
From the ups and downs, the small hall to the world stage, from heavyweights to flyweights, and dealing with good guys and not so good guys - Frank knows the boxing game inside and out.
If you’ve got a question you’d like to pose to Frank just send it to
[email protected] and we'll pick out the best four Qs.
Cheers!

Why not let BoxRec pick the best four questions?

I think that would be a much better idea. However, Frank loses control over what gets asked that way. Doing it his way he can avoid any awkward questions that he might not want to answer.

Exactly, just proves what a waste of time the idea is.

i think franks pretty open when hes answering questions
if Boxrec Faithfull got to choose then there could be some seriously riddiculas / controversial questions that could get chosen by the general public
i suspect hell get asked his feelings on the new allegedly channell that his fellow promotor has launched / tied in with

Guys - if you think it's a waste of time - feel free not to get involved.
Anyone that does have a question - also feel free to email it over - cheers.

Anything that's censored, ie by the pre-selection of questions, is naturally deemed to be a waste of time.
You may as well withdraw the offer and just ask your man your own four favourite questions.
Or, you could select 10 from BoxRec, run a poll and let people choose the four most popular.

What happened to the guy who won another competition and went to work for him for free for a while?
Wasn't he going to write something up on the experience? Excuse me if I missed it.

Cheers for the poll feedback Mike - but the invite for Qs wasn't just for Boxrec Forum users but also for Maloney Promotions Facebook friends, Twitter followers etc.

Same argument still applies re pre-selection of questions.

Mike - have already said thanks for your poll feedback - and explained that this idea wasn't just open to Boxrec Forum members.
Of course, some ideas will work for some people and not others - and if it doesn't work for you then just saying feel free not to get involved. Hope that's fair enough.
Cheers.

Who is he? You seemed to know more than me, and to be honest I'm not overly arsed just remember them making a big song and dance about it!
I'm sure we'll see it at some point

I don't think that would cover every boxing fan so not really fair.
I think it's a good idea from Frank Maloney promotions

I actually agree with the above.
I am not sure who posts the FTMPRESS comments, but some (most) of them are absolutely shocking from a promotional point of view, to the point that I feel it would be better if they said nothing !
With the various social media there is a big opportunity there for promoters to get some really good free publicity and to reach a wide audience like never before. For the life of me I cannot understand why they do not invest (either time, money or buy in expertise) to properly utilise this facility.
Take this thread for example - I am sure that it was initially made with good intentions but it has actually alienated boxing fans rather than engaged with them.
