The real question is how much can average Joe afford.
The best way to have done this would be to license as many HBO fights (not the Clayton library the latter HBO stuff from the 90's) and turn it into a 24 hour boxing channel, i.e nick the lisence from ESPN as they dont own the HBO re'runs.
And...
1 Give Buncey a daily magazine show.
2 get as much HBO & Showtime classic fights as pos.
3 Live shows once a week.
4 Show boxing documentaries at 9pm.
5 one on one interviews with greats from the past every day for an hour, talking over their fights etc.
In order for a dedicated channel to work it has to work FOR the dedicated.

That would be fair value for money

, as it is I'm getting pretty pissed off by the way the sport is getting divided amongst various PPV channels

To answer the question of this thread... yes I do and yes I will. Used to pay for Sky sports and Setanta but these days its just ridiculous, too much greed and vested interests not working together, resulting in too many outlets - Sky, allegedly, Primetime etc - all wanting a monthly slice of your salary to show you boxing. Sorry, its too much

I mean seriously, do they really expect boxing fans to fork out for tv licence, Sky Sports Subscription, Sky PPV, Primetime subscription, Primetime PPV, allegedly....I mean seriously wtf.

Yes, and aren't ashamed to admit it either.
There's a crank on ESB called ''venusdiablo'' who allegedly works for Primetime, who was grassing on people to the mods for hinting at links - not posting them or anything, just hinting that they might be watching on something that isn't costing £15.
I'm now banned from there for two years, not sure why
If this allegedly leads to anything I hope it's the death of Primetime, expensive, utterly crap coverage.

What happened to myp2p?

I have done in the past because the legal alternatives were ridiculous. When there's a legal stream for £4.99 then I'm happy to snap it up, as I have done in the past. I'm not subscribing to Sky just for boxing.
My Internet is too poor (in the countryside) to watch any streams at the moment.

I do sometimes although it takes an age to find one that isn't shut down before it starts. I don't really consider it wrong, ppv is wrong, sky sports being separate from the basic package is wrong, all this stuff not being on terrestrial is wrong.

Live streams I rarely bother with. Usually flaky quality and fall over when the masses start tuning in.
I only resort to them if it's not being broadcast over in this country. I prefer a stable picture on the TV than hunched over a laptop.
Like last night, Maidana vs Petr was on Soleo Boxeo - and nobody over here shows that. So i watched online.
You hear people in the industry moaning, but it's fine when they hand their fighter 4no pirate DVD's of a future opponent.

when the technology becomes increasingly locked-down by monopolies and faceless global corporations with unethical and largely immoral intentions and business models....
using ur own initiative becomes a moral imperative.

Don't bother with online streams, just try and avoid the results and grab the fights the day after
