Just chatting to my boss about a prog on sky one last called Britains Hardest Pubs. I didn't see it, but he said the hardest pub in the East End was The Tavern on the Hill in Walthamstow. Am I correct in thinking thats Mark Potters pub? Did anyone see it? Was Mr Potter on at all?

Bugger, I was going to watch that but opted for an early night instead.

Just been told it's gonna be repeated on Friday at 11:00pm

It was Mark Potters pub mate although none of the pubs on the programme were particularly rough just your normal local pub really.

Some of the pubs were actually laughable rather than rough.

These programmes are always like that, theres probably a lot of far worse pubs if they looked hard enough.

Was Mark on it mate, any interviews with him etc?

Yeah a brief chat saying that some naughty people drunk in there etc....

Nothing to special though just quick chat.

Bollox. I was watching that, but it started to get a little bit tedious and I switched over. I hope Mark Potter does things with this man mountain Augustin N'Gou, who's fighting at Wembley on Saturday.

Incidentally, Frank has just signed another heavyweight, an Armenian who apparently stopped 75 out of 85 opponents as an amateur and is being looked after in the Midlands by Dave Bradley. Warren's gone heavyweight mad!

Ever since Georgi Kendalaki I have been very wary of East European heavys with amatuer pedigree. Look forward to sseing what he is like though..

he is only 22 they claim, although that would make him 17 when he won the under 19 champs????


in the 2001 world amateur champs he lost to Vitali Boot (19-7), Boot went on to get stopped in 3 by gold medallist Ruslan Chagaev

A surprisingly action-packed heavyweight fight occurred just before the main televised bouts started. The two big men slugged away at each other for the first three minutes of the bout, but near the end of the first, it was clear as crystal that neither man was in the greatest of shape. Ohanyan, Las Vegas, was breathing heavily through his mouth and Farnetti, who fights out of Lancaster, PA, slowly trudged back to his corner when the round ended.

But stamina didn’t play too significant of a role because just seconds into the second, Ohanyan pounded Farnetti’s body, forcing him to back himself along the ropes. Ohanyan took no prisoners and attacked his midsection as if it was a camp full of Saddam’s troops. Eventually Robert Byrd realized that Farnetti couldn’t escape the punishment and pulled Ohanyan away, stopping the bout just 38 seconds into the second stanza.

With the win, Ohanyan remains unbeaten and now stands at 5-0 (4). Farnetti, on the other hand, remains winless at 0-3-2.
