In his whole career I have seen him take only a handful of flush shots.


Anyone else taken less punioshment than the great Money Mayweather?


16 years and only hit flush a few times. Even Pernell Whittaker took more.

Whitaker fought better fighters.

What is his chin like?

Floyd has fought some good fighters, and I feel at times his record does get put down unfairly, including by myself.

But at 147 he's never really fought the best fighters at the right time, has he?

In particular he wanted nothing to do with Margarito or Cotto, or Williams for that matter.

Whitaker fought absolutely everybody, including a couple of murderous welters in their prime in DLH and Tito, whilst well past his own.

Victor Ortiz doesn't quite compare, by any stretch.

Murderous Welters? DLH?? You sure? Tito besat an old PW but I still say Floyd has a good resume.

Corralles was a better pure puncher than DLH.

To not get 'hit' in 1 years is down to defensive skills. All Floyds opponents listed above were world champions when Floyd beat them or still very credible.

Come on now - Floyd wanted nothing to do with Margarito? The guy isn't even on the same level as Floyd. Doesn't belong in the same Ring as him. Mosley battered Margarito & Mayweather schooled Mosley.

Paul Williams isn't on the same level
as Mayweather. Williams lost his last fight & was awarded the decision when he shouldn't have been.

I would have liked to have seen Cotto- Mayweather at 147lbs about 2/3 years ago. Maybe it will still happen, who knows?

He was offered $8m (apparently) to fight him back in 2006, when Margarito was at his best. Floyd didn't fight him.

I'm not suggesting for one minute that Margarito would have won, in fact quite the opposite, Floyd would have thrashed him 12-0, but it would have been far better name on his record than f**king Baldomir, who'd only beaten an unfocused Judah by razor thin decision.

Williams - again, in hindsight it's easy to say he wasn't all that, but was on an impressive run prior to the loss to Quintana at 147, and then went on a decent run afterwards before running into Martinez last year.

It's a typical Floyd fan statement - ''Floyd doesn't have to fight X because he'd beat them anyway''

A win over Cotto would be almost meaningless, he's never quite looked the same since his loss to Margarito and is living on borrowed time at the top level IMO.

You can't give fighters credit for looking better than other fighters, but not proving it in the ring. Pacquiao's 140+ record pisses all over Floyd's hands down..... btw I'm not looking to instigate a Flomo/Pactard debate!

Floyd fights for himself not his fans. He will decide who and when he fights SRL done the exact same when he was the biggest money spinner in the game. Business comes first.

There's a big difference between Leonard and Mayweather

Leonard fought absolutely everybody, in their primes - Benitez, Duran and Hearns. The only one he didn't face at their respective bests was Hagler.

Here's another video before Floyd-Judah which is a more accurate depiction.

Floyd would definitely have gotten hit a lot more if he had been fighting the level of fighters that Leonard faced.

Mayweather is extremely good, nay great, but he's not in a very tough era by comparison.

Much like Leonard did to Hagler (wait it out, demand smaller ring and 12 rounds), Lalonde (weigh 167 for first time in two years) and Hearns II (tell people Hearns won't get a rematch unless he admits he lost to the better man and then wait until he's looking suspect?).

Both Floyd and Leonard are horrible human beings in many respects, but both winners.

Indeed he did, I'm of the opinion that there's two Leonards though, the late 70's/early 80's legend and then there's the late 80's and 90's celebrity.
