Why has Martin Power been overlooked for Prizefighter?

He was one the first pro to throw his hat in when I started the Super-Fly Prizefighter thread back in May, and it seems his enthusiasm has been met with complete silence while the slots have filled up. So why has he been overlooked?

imo Haskins and Lyons is the Strongest then Don, Robinson the rest are inexperianced and cant beat the likes of Haskins and Lyons.. Robinson wasn't bad as a Am and boxed at Feather Weight... I have to be one of the top 8 in the weight surely, over 3 rounds i believe id beat all these. Has Matchroom got someone that they want to win? I know Haskins aint with anyone... I could still get the call i still will be training for this, maybe the later its left the less of a chance they think i might have.... I haven't even been called up to be a Sub

Think he's pipped me to promotion in the prediction league
![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)
but gutted for him. I really can't see why he wouldn't be in this. Why would you not have an ex-british champion? Surely it would only raise the profile of the event?

Martin's style is ideal for PF and he would provide fans with their moneys worth plus he is a name that can sell tickets. Can't believe you have been overlooked, fella.

Is there a vendetta at Matchroom? I hope not. Would not fit their current likable image.
Just tweeted. Eddie tweeted 3 minutes ago so is online.

Its absolute bollox they havn't even called him. Martin has been vocal about wanting this chance, yet they are happy to have the likes of Ahmed in there who at best now is a youtube star. I really dont know what games they are playing here as this could be one of the top prizefighters they have ever put on, yet strangely not looking for all the top guys.
Eddie, you have a lot of fans out there and a lot of people really think you are becoming the top promoter in Britain but I really cannot understand this at all. Sort it out.

Something is not right, a former British champion who has a very respectable record and is very keen to enter is not even getting a look in. I can understand having the rookies in there and all the other names as well, but surely your name is ranked higher than at least half the chosen guys.
It not even like you are doing a Takaloo and coming back after years out the ring. Come on Eddie, sort it out will you. Besides, predictions for next month are out and cannot confirm the final listings yet.

I'm a fan of Eddie Hearn but I'm not big on Prizefighter, never have been.
To not have Martin in is a bit silly yet we so often see old faded names given their chance. I think the fact that Usman Ahmed is in there is down to the infamous/famous (however you see it) YouTube video. He's very unlikely to go all the way and win it whereas we have someone left out in the cold who, IMO, would have a very good chance of been crowned.

Confirmed - if Martin doesnt get the last slot he will definately be on the reserve list.
Looks like its between Luke Wilton, Shinny Bayaar, Martin and another.
