With Floyd Mayweather wanting us to believe that he deserves to be mentioned amongst some of the greatest fighters of all time. How do you he would stack against the following... (all in their pomp)
Azumah Nelson at Super Featherweight
Benny Leonard at Lightweight
Roberto Duran at Lightweight
Alexis Arguello at Super Featherweight/Lightweight
Aaron Pryor Snr at Light-Welterweight
Julio Cesar Chavez at Light-Welterweight
Kostya Tszsu at Light Welterweight
Pernell Whittaker at Light Welterweight/Welterweight
Tommy Hearns at Welterweight
Sugar Ray Robinson at Welterweight
Sugar Ray Leonard at Welterweight

IMO, he beats Nelson, Tszyu & probably Arguello - & I think hes 50-50 with both Pryor & Chavez.
The rest? Nah.

Azumah Nelson at Super Featherweight - Mayweather close decision
Benny Leonard at Lightweight - pass
Roberto Duran at Lightweight - Duran clear decision
Alexis Arguello at Super Featherweight/Lightweight - Mayweather close decision
Aaron Pryor Snr at Light-Welterweight - Pryor by stoppage
Julio Cesar Chavez at Light-Welterweight - Ugh.... no idea
Kostya Tszsu at Light Welterweight - Mayweather by decision
Pernell Whittaker at Light Welterweight/Welterweight - Whitaker by decision
Tommy Hearns at Welterweight - Hearns by stoppage, not a fight I like for Floyd at all
Sugar Ray Robinson at Welterweight - Robinson by stoppage, too big too strong
Sugar Ray Leonard at Welterweight - Leonard by stoppage

All competitive fights, exept for Hearns and Robinson, who DESTROY Floyd. I think Leonard beats him rather widely too.

Nelson - too small
Benny Leonard - can't say as I've never seen him fight
Duran - Duran on points
Arguello - Floyd on points as I don't think Alexis would figure him out in time and he'd be too small to have a big enough impact when he did catch up with him.
Pryor - Floyd on points
Chavez - Chavez does better than Arguello but again I think he's probably too small to make it count when he does catch up with Floyd
Kosta - Floyd on points but I can imagine him getting dropped at some point
Whittaker - Pernell on points (only Saad and Irene attend the fight)
Hearns - Hearns by points or stoppage
Robinson - Robinson by points or stoppage
Leonard - Leonard by points or stoppage

Yep.... I'd be very impressed if Floyd survived the first round against Hearns.
He's several inches shorter, has a much smaller wingspan and would be up against a technically supreme boxer with a deadly accurate jab and murderous power in either hand.
Plus, Tommy would just go for him - there'd be no feeling out like the Leonard fight, he wouldn't respect Mayweather's power and would just steamroller him.
One thing we haven't seen anyone try to do (at least with any success anyway) is box against Floyd - too many opponents have bought into this ''let's rough up this little pretty boy because he can't handle pressure'', when in fact all you've got to do is watch the Hatton fight to see that Ricky had more success boxing with Mayweather, cutting the ring off but using sharp in and out movements to avoid Floyd's shots.
Before long Mayweather was drawing Hatton onto him and beating him up on the inside, I think that's what ruined him mentally - he'd been outboxed before but to be thrashed at his own game - outmuscled, out-dirtied in close must have been soul destroying.

Azumah Nelson at Super Featherweight- Difficult call, but I'd give Mayweather a 60/40 edge.
Benny Leonard at Lightweight- Won't comment, eras too different, lack of footage, etc.
Roberto Duran at Lightweight- Duran by clear decision.
Alexis Arguello at Super Featherweight/Lightweight- Floyd at 130 beats Arguello by clear decision, bad matchup for him.
Aaron Pryor Snr at Light-Welterweight- Pryor by decision.
Julio Cesar Chavez at Light-Welterweight- Closer at this weight, but I still think Chavez was a perfect foil for him, close but clear decision.
Kostya Tszsu at Light Welterweight- Mayweather by decision.
Pernell Whittaker at Light Welterweight/Welterweight- Whitaker at both. Simply the better fighter.
Tommy Hearns at Welterweight- Hearns by wide decision or stoppage.
Sugar Ray Robinson at Welterweight- See above.
Sugar Ray Leonard at Welterweight- See above.

At the lower weights Mayweather is pretty easy to rate, but at 140 and above it's damned impossible, given his poor resume at those weights.
If he'd beaten a Cotto or Mosley around the time he fought Hatton we'd have a much better idea, but unfortunately it never materialised, and he ran like a girl from the very limited Margarito, who wouldn't have won a round against him.
Unless he fights and beats Pacquiao very easily his legacy will always be lacking, regardless of what else he does from hereon.... whereas Pacquiao could blatantly duck him, retire and still be content with wins over three genuine ATG Mexicans and having thrashed several welters who Floyd didn't fight.
