Interesting take by the promotors

I must come across as negative but I am not really, I love this sport and the people who make it. I was never any good myself and can remember how shit scared I felt in my inglorious two amateur fights. So I admire all of the people that have a go.
Yep even Anthony M, it's just that he does with his actions the exact opposite to whathe says with his mouth. Anyway, get to the point Grant.
I had to share with everyone an upcoming queensland state featherweight title where one participant is 1 win 1 loss, and the other is on debut.
Goodluck to them both, but I have been imaging the discussion the promotor must have had to get this sanction as a 'title' fight. Sure the guy on debut might be a renowned amateur but I think it reflects how eager we the public are to see a title fight.
Comments anyone?

I think they are probably the only two fighters there is in Queensland in that weight division. That's probably the reason why it went ahead.

Yeah Mark, I can remember ' in the olden day's where bantam and featherweight wet the most active division, now I think it is a reflection of how the population are growing that everyone is fight at welter to SMW. An interesting observation I thought.

What about Isral Kani is fighting Tyrone jones for the Queensland light heavy weight title on Jamie myers card, than Mark Flanigan is fighting Aron Russel for the same title on Angelo Delcarlos card how does that work? Is the winner of Kani & Jones going to vacate the title?

I think the title is vacant, but can't remember why. I'll get Hoggy to refresh my memory later today (Saturday)

1 Win, 1 Draw, Not 1 Win-1 Loss

The Australian Light Heavyweight Title was vacant from 1965 (when Clive Stewart retired) until 1969 when Trevor Anderson won the vacant title. Bob Dunlop won the Empire title but not the Australian title.

Bob Dunlop never won the title in the ring, but on the 19th November 1967, the Australian Boxing Federation awarded him the Australian Light Heavyweight Title as there were no other worthy contenders. He was recognized as champion until he stood aside to let his friend, Stretch Anderson fight Joe Bertucci for the vacant title in April,1969.

Apparently so, allowing Flanagan/Russell contesting vacant title. However, things might change between now & October 28. Wait & see I guess.
