Cleverly gets no were near the credit he deserves for this win. The Facts.....

-Karo Murat was ranked #7 by Ring Magazine.
-Going into the fight he carried a perfect 22-0 record.
-He was a former 168lb European Champion with 2 defences and never lost his that title in the ring.

-Murat holds a win over former WBA LHW Champion Gabriel Campillo, the same Campillo who took the unbeaten record of Beibut Shumenov & should still be champion if not for a bad decision.
-Murat recently KNOCKED OUT Otis Griffin, Otis had just taken Yusaf Mack to a Split Decision.
-Murat defeated 40-3 Cristian Sanavia who was a former 168lb title challager via KO.

Cleverly never just beat Murat, he beat him at his own game and won nearly every round and TKO'd him. I find this a impressive domination over a top unbeaten contender. But yet he never gets no credit for it.......

yeh murat is a decent scalp to have on your record, but 1 very important fact your not mentioning when going through all his stats, is hes a super middleweight. the size difference between clev and him was massive. so yes a good name to have on your c.v, but imo murat is never a light heavy, and clev is a huge light heavy.

what was the name of that bum that Clev struggled against a few fights back ?? was it Nadjib Mohammedi ?

murat's having a rematch with campillo, interestingly.

steve holdsworth once said he was going nowhere, after a terrible performance in spain (i believe), but he did win the european title and had a very exciting fight with cleverly.

Murat is a world level fighter and Cleverly dominated him in that fight, he deserves a lot more credit for it

Cleverley probably had a massive weight advantage on fight night. Murat looks fleshy at 175, he probably could make 168 but is too lazy like Abraham who should be at 160!

I thought Cleverly would top out at Euro level beforehand, the win over Murat convinced me he was headed for world class.

I wouldn't call that underrating him, although judging from his fights since then, he's possibly a little overrated right now.

Only messin', but I don't think he's underrated, he just needs a reminder of what he's capable of at his best, as he was with Murat. Could very well come at Bellew's expense, although I hope it doesn't.

The fight is severely underated IMO..... It was fantastic, and it was brilliant performance by Clev. Reminded of young Joe's win against Eubank.
