Thought I'd try a thread about which fights you are watching or have watched lately.

Last night I watched...

Jim Watt - Alexis Arguello. What looked a bit out of his depth and Alexis looked superb.

Hearns - Schuler. That left hook to the body that Hearns used to throw was amazing.

Watched Prince Naseem v Kevin Kelley again the other day.

Still as good entertainment wise (bad technically) as I remember.

I love Youtube. Lets me relive great nights like that.

Cant beat Nas dancing for 10minutes behind the screen and Kelley jumping up on the ropes going off his head baying him to come to the ring.

Recently watched Mike McCallum V Julian Jackson. Mike just took him apart though Julian took some big shots before it was over.

Also Dempsey V Willard. What a beating big Jess took.

Hector Camacho vs Edwin Rosario (cheers, C-P!).

Great, underrated fight, closer than I had been led to believe. Camacho had questionable taste in shorts but skills for days & a brick for a chin. Rosario was just a killer.

aye it's a beauty.

i watched Kennedy McKinney - Junior Jones last night. good for a laugh. McKinney looks like he's got a drunk's legs even beore he starts taking punches, and then he ends up taking a bunch of em, but just manages to keep punching straight through the middle and finds the soft target of Jones's chin.

Horace Notice v Hughroy Currie I, now i always remembered Horace as a smooth boxer, but looking at this one he was a bit rougher around the edges than i remember, still not a bad boxer. It was only his 10th fight and Currie was on a good run, the fight was an exciting one with Currie knocked down in the 1st and Notice thinking he'd won it. Then the fight goes into the 6th and Currie knocks Notice down, only for Notice to come back and stop Currie late in the round.

Strangley this fight was in the Isle of Man, anyone know why?

as part of the hype for this there was brief talk about making the Isle of Man the heavyweight capital of boxing :TU: fun times, the 80's.

Yoan Pablo Hermandez- Steve Cunningham. Really good fight, Hernandez looked good in patches but again sometimes his concentration really let's him down and gets very sloppy at times, but when he picks his shots and works of the jab before coming in with combo's he's top class. It's just getting him to do seems to be the problem!
