Kevin Mitchell Next Fight

Any one have any ideas when we're likely to see Mitchell box again? I would've thought Frank would have him lined up on either of his next 2 big cards on 15th Oct or Nov 5th. But it doesn't seem to be the case.

Having only boxed once since his defeat in May 2010, surely he needs to get busier? or find a new promoter?

Would imagine he will have a low key 10 rounder against decent international opposition and then fight the winner of Burns/Katsidis in Feb or March next year

I reckon he'll have a "Intercontinental" defence on the 5th Nov against some unheard of Ghanian then fight for World Titles next year

He needs to keep busy TBH this is probably the most likely scenario though. I don’t think Rios is likely, he needs another build up fight before entertaining Rios.

Sounds about right. A fight with the winner of Burns/Katsidis shouldnt be far away.

I think you're right however, it is a fight he did want - as he tweeted yesterday "I wanted the Rios fight but couldnt get it" wonder what the conditions/terms on offer were.

By who? Matchroom? Love people with 9 posts posting about "whispers"

What's happened with that drugs arrest anyway? He wouldn't be able to go to the US if that is still hanging around.

I assume he is on Warren's show in December. There aren't many other fighters Warren has now that could fill a big date like that.

Dont' believe everything you here. If any of the stuff thats been doing the rounds of late about mitchell is true, he won't have a license to box, let alone be fighting for a World title in the States. if any of its true it would explain why he's not got his shot and murray has.

It seems he has started his own PR company. Nothing about jumping ship from Big Ship allegedly though

well the papers had him last year involved with a drugs bust, he's known to like a drink and he's been done drink driving according to whispers so I can't see the board looking on him like he's a saint. Nor FW. not hard to see why allegedly has put Murray in for a World shot instead of Mitchell if there's any truth to all the stuff going around!

Somebody who knows Kevin personally on Eastside said he isn't happy. Kev wanted out of his contract last year, He was basically slagging Frank off on his facebook page just a few weeks back when he found out Murray-Rios had been made.

Apparently his mum has took the wrap for the drugs thing. Like i say it's just whispers, nothing actually concrete about it, but Kev is not happy. And i probably have about 10 thousand posts on boxing forums pal :TU:

There is an article on the london news website somewhere about Kevin getting banned driving for 3 years, this was just after the Murray fight.

Yeah that''s what i heard too. Also, he was up for a couple of things prior to the murray fight so it's not hard to envisage him being in touble witht he board

Second time he's been done for drink driving, once in July 2009. Mitchell is an idiot.

Can't drive his BMW X5 for 3 years
