mate of mine is fighting unlicensed, probably out before Xmas. He's had one fight which he won on points. He's on here as a poster but if he wants to out himself that's his call. He's looking for someone bigger than him (He's 6-1, 6-2 ish, about 15 Stone) for sparring, someone to push him about a bit, help him learn a bit more than get smashed to bits, as his sparring so far has been with smaller blokes and people not very experienced. He's been offered to spar a very experienced pro but the pro in question has asked for £100 to spar him, and that's not really something he can do. Our man can travel to them, but he's not really in a position to fork out for it.


Any help or advice would be appreciated.

as a stab in the dark from what youve said im guessing hes a cruiserweight ?

No, He'll be fighting as a small Heavy. Apparently the opponent will be roughly similar in weight, almost like a catchweight fight.

ok , ive got a very good cruiserweight who will be useful for him to spar and of my heavyweights the better onfor him to be sparring is 6ft 2 and 16 stone 8 , my other 2 heavies would be far too big .

I've text him and told him to get on here and talk to you himself as its not really my place to make any calls on it. Not sure if Nottingham is a [Trent] bridge too far but I've let him know. But muchas gracias for the prompt offer, whatever he says.

A pro boxer charging £100 for someone to spar him, is that common? I know fighters need to eat, but that's a lot IMO.
