Who would win at junior-lightweight?

Chacon would've handed him his ass, although it would've been a very exciting affair, obviously.

I agree with you King Carlos. Chacon wins this one in a bloody affair of two warriors.

That sounds about right. It would be an exciting fight for a while, but Chacon was too good.

Which Gatti would do better? Pre or Post DLH? I detected a change in style after that fight.
Did anyone else?
I agree this is Chacon's fight either way.

Chacon was actually a really good boxer. Everybody remembers him from his amazingly gutty wars with Bazooka Limon and Boza-Edwards, but IMO a younger Chacon would have boxed Gatti's ears off.

Bobby Chacon was one of my favorite fighters all-time. What a warrior he was. I remember when he fought another warrior, Rafael "Bazooka" Limon, in Chacon's backyard for the WBC World Jr Lightweight Championship in December of 1982. It was their 4th fight. Chacon won one, Bazooka won one and the other one was a draw. This time, for once and for all rubber match, they hurt each other to no end. It was probably the best fight that I have ever seen alongside the Leonard vs Hearns I fight. Chacon won by UD in 15 unforgettable rounds. The knockdown in the last round iced it for Bobby.

Considering that the 130 pound version of Gatti was pretty much a pure slugger and so was Chacon. I think this would be an absolutely wild affair. Because so many big shots would be landing so consistently it's hard to imagine this fight going beyond 5 or 6 rounds, but what an unbelievable fight it would be. I could see both men being dropped and both would be bleeding by the 3rd round, I think Chacon probably wins but the fight would elevate both men.

I thought Bobby won it by about 4-5 points. Amazing fight, though.
