To Tony Bomber Bellew

Tony
I just wanted to wish you all the best on Saturday, may the best man win (and I honestly believe he will)

All I hope is that whoever wins goes on to bigger and better things for British boxing as this fight is really only a domestic battle that could have happened at any stage of both fighters careers.

I am a Cleverly fan and believe he will win but do honestly wish BOTH fighters all the best on the night and pray both fighters are fit and well after the bout.

Good post. As I've said in the build up, I like the pair of them. Let's hope it's one of those fights where both men gain credit and can push on afterwards...

Taffy did one after his last embarrassing episode. In fact, I thought it was you who made the initial post considering how humble it was. :OhYes:

Will be a great fight on Sat. Everyone has been waiting for this. I honestly don't mind Clev, it's just he's up against my boy.

All the best, Tony.

I wish Tony could find it in himself to be as sporting as his fans. Hopefully he will be afterwards, whatever the result. Should be a cracking fight, really looking forward to it.

I might be going soft in my old age, but I hope at the end of the night - they can be mates and share a pint or 3 at the end.

This "hate" between the pair for me might have sold tickets but hasn't done the sport many favours - both fighters have achieved a lot (and not all of it in the pro boxing ring) and there should be alot of respect between the pair, especially as both are fans of the sport.

My favourite line in the build up to this fight has gone from Bomber though.... nah, its not the rat one etc it was.

"Get me the boy from the valleys then you'll see excitment" - after the McKenzie rematch.... fantastic.

It's becoming a little cliche to say it on here, but it did get the non-boxing fans at work interested. I'd see that as a benefit, it's what the lads do in the ring now that defines whether or not it's been good for the sport. A great fight, and some new fans might just stick around. Stink the place out and it won't do boxing any favours and will be seen as yet another hype job.

Absolutely true, but I would like to see a build up like Murray vs Mitchell without the name calling.... its just me in my old age though.

I agree too mate, the boxing should be enough. Still, I remember the cringey throat-slash gesture Mitchell made when the were presented in the ring at an earlier show, I'd take 'rat-gate' over that any day haha.

I'm sorry but Tony asnt become a world class fighter in such a short period since his awful display against mckenzie , cleverly is class and will show it . Tony is a work in progress and I'm a neutral fan here and us fans don't win the promoter does , these two could of both been led on to world honours as I do rate Tony but how can you throw your two lads in like this . Tut tut . Mr w is a dog wuf wuf .
Seriously though good luck Tony I really mean that but the hunger for money and a new tv channel is all this will satisfy

i would love it if bomber wins...absolutely love it.

but i've no beef with clev either.

english first, british second....nothing else matters.

may the best man win! i've been looking forward to this as much as any other 'big name' bout in recent years.

I agree. I have seen a fair bit of Cleverly and he has impressed me with his gameness. The win again Murat really stands out for me. If he works like that on Saturday night, I can`t see Bellew living with him.

Bellew can dig, but he can also be put down, so it wouldn`t surprise me to see him go down, Cleverly wade in and the ref stop another fight earlier again.

It seems that in a British ring these days if you take a few shots unanswered, they stop it.

No early stoppage here, both FW fighters with big futures :TU:
