Was the fight close & competive throughout? Yes no dout, but the clear winner was Clev. He landed more punchers & the cleaner one's.

But at times Bellew's punchers looked better because of the crowds crazy cheering, even when Bellew missed with punches they screamed loudly as if he had landed. When Clev landed with some really eye catching shots, it was complete silience. This played a big part in the fight.

I watched the fight for a second time without the volume on. An I dont see how it can't be scored for Cleverly. Like I said he landed the cleaner shots and overall outowrked & outfought Bellew. Bellew did have his moments and landed some good shots but Cleverly's work was better.

Clev landed more & slipped alot but the crowd were acting like they were all landing. Home Advantage can play a majot factor in scoring and for Clev to still get the decision in his Tony's backard says it all.

Great fight, but Cleverly a close but CLEAR WINNER.

I watched the fight with the sound off so the crowd didn't influence my scoring whatsoever. I had it 115-114 for Cleverly, but would not have taken issue with a draw or a slightly wider win for Clev.

1. Clean punching------It's true that a lot of Bellew's punches were missing (he also landed a few crackers), but Clev often failed to respond to these flurries and at times seemed to be focusing more on defense. Thus, a strong case can be made that Bellew several rounds on work rate, rather than clean punching.

2. 'Overall'-----I take issue with this term when it is used in the context of how a fight should have been judged. A fight is scored on a round by round basis, so a fighter can be outlanded or outworked in total terms, and yet still have landed more punches or thrown more punches in the majority of the rounds. I agree that Cleverly did the best work in the aggregate, but this is because he tended to have 'bigger' winning rounds than Bellew did, most notably in the early-middle and closing portions of the fight when Bellew looked like he was worn down or going to be worn down.

What rounds do you think Cleverly won beyond any reasonable doubt?

I thought Larry O'connell had it bang on. I had Cleverly a point behind going into the last round so scored it a draw. Would like to see the statistics for punches thrown/landed because I don't remember seeing them pop up during or after the fight. That was giving 2 close rounds to Cleverly aswell. God knows how one judge had him winning by 5 rounds. Mind you Bellew didn't protest much.

That said. Bellew himself knew Cleverly had done a number on him. Bellews body language as the final bell went spoke volumes.

Very good fight though. With the right trainer/coach Cleverly can eclipse Calzaghe without a doubt ... but Vince Cleverly isn't the right guy for the job.

Bellew can have other big nights. His style will always make for exciting fights. Maybe he can win a title along the way too.

No arguments with the winner here but was a bit dissapointed with how wide the score cards were. I personally had it a draw, but would have not sided with Bomber for the win as it was probably right that Clev did more work and probably won by no more than 2.

By the way, I don't rate Vince. I think he's a tool who seems to be living his dream through his son. All he did in front of Clev was shadow-box. I'd have liked Powell to push the fat biter outta the way and give some helpful advice.

i had it 6 rds all.

clev dropped down the pace in too many rds.

bellew was the boss at distance.

excellent fight.

I had it exactly like Enzo who I thought was spot on with his analysis.

Really enjoyed the fight, I had Nathan winning by a point because of him getting on top in the last round but was very close and could have gone either way. Tony should be proud of himself, he took Nathan's speed away by sticking to basic boxing from range and showed that he belongs at this level. Close, close fight and not the mismatch that a lot of people thought it was going to be. Hats off to both fighters, both good pals of mine

I had Bellew winning it and no, I'm not scouse. I felt he outboxed Clev throughout. I watched the stream on the information super web though and the framerate wasn't perfect.

Yes. As unfashionable as it is on this site to say it. Calzaghe was indeed very special

Nathan is about a year younger than what Joe was when he fought Eubank. So I think that he is still a good couple of years from reaching his peak.
I have never been a believer in Vince Cleverly. He has no boxing background to draw experience from (I don`t just mean that he hasn`t boxed himself) - something I feel is required as you step up to another level to help change tactics mid fight.
Joe could do it because he was an exceptional tallent, Maybe Cleverly will also get away with it.
I would just like to see him move to somebody like say - Jimmy Tibbs.

I feel I won 6 rounds no doubt in my mind but like I say it was a close fight, I give him respect but would love to do it again, I've proved a lot of people how good a boxer I can be at times and I feel my jab was really doing the job most of the time, I feel Parrish is a disgrace an should be reprimanded!

I tend to keep a ranged score card (so one where I score, but also note where I could understand someone disagreeing) and I had them level going into the last round but with a variance that could have seen either two points clear. My gut said Cleverly had won, but I couldn;t really say why I felt that way because it was such a competitive, even fight. Genuinely hope that Bellew rebuilds with a couple of good wins and that they can do it again.

I think the tempo hurt you more than any punch you took.

Tony/Bomber. I think you gained alot more fans after lastnights bout with your sensible and honest after fight interview. I think you sell yourself cheap with the bad-boy/yob character some say you play to.
