Tyson: I’m thrilled to be fighting in Manchester.

Fury vs. Pajkic Nov. 12 at EventCity, Manchester

Tyson Fury, the current unbeaten British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion is thrilled to be fighting in his native home town of Manchester on November 12 for the first time in his glittering career.

“It will be a night of firsts” said the Man United fan “I was born and raised in Manchester and now to finally be given the opportunity to defend my Commonwealth title in this great city is very special to me.

“It will be like making my debut all over again as it will be my first time since turning pro that I’m fighting in Manchester.

“I’m now the number one heavyweight in the UK and I’m going up against the Canadian Champion who has had a lot to say about me over the last year, so this fight is personal and I’m going to put on a real show and show just how world class I am.”

Tyson Fury vs. Canadian Neven Pajkic, proudly presented by Hennessy Sports, will be broadcast live on Channel 5.

To add to the special night, EventCity will also be making their debut by holding their first ever professional boxing event.

“EventCity couldn’t be better located right next to the excellent Trafford Centre, it’s going to be so easy for my fans to get there to support me, parking isn’t a issue, they can do their bits and pieces and have something to eat and drink and then come and watch some top class boxing.

“It would be good to fight at EventCity on a regular basis as it has the potential to seat up to 10,000 people” added Tyson

Also scheduled to fight on the Nov. 12 card in Manchester is the very talented and exciting, undefeated super bantamweight prospect Kid Galahad of Sheffield.

Joining Tyson and Kid will be former British Light Welterweight champion Lenny Daws of Morden, English Welterweight Champion Adnan Amar (Nottingham) who will be defending his title against James Flynn (Coventry), Phill Fury (Lancaster), Jack Perry (Derby), Chris Truman (Birmingham) and undefeated Light Heavyweight prospect Lionell Thompson from Buffalo, USA who will be making his UK debut. All fights and fighters are subject to change.

How come Carl Froch isn't listed as a 'past boxer' on the HS website here http://www.hennessysports.com/boxers.htm when Murray and Barker are?

He will stop Pajkic, who is very, very limited in many senses. I envison an attritional stoppage around the 7th.

He is British by birth but he has Irish parentage and ancestry which is he supports Manchester United and that Northern Ireland side whose shirt he wore when he fought Nicolai Firtha over in the Kings Hall last time out. As for the result of this fight I reckon Fury will stop Pajkic in the middle rounds somewhere between rounds 6-8 as the Bodyshots and the jabs take their toll.

How on earth have Hennessy Sports managed to stay in business for so long?

Their press releases are amazing, they sound like an invitation for a meeting to discuss a new filing system.

Mike Tyson making a comeback, I thought he retired yonks ago...... I really get quite annoyed at the titles of these fury PR jobs.

Me too mate, trying to get more publicity by using the name of a former heavyweight sensation to push this plodder and get extra hits is pretty sad.

Would they do it if he was called Ian Fury? Would they feck.

Another hype job. Looked good vs an overweight, slobbish Chisora but otherwise he's been ordinary at best. Give us a break HS we're not mugs.

Why don't you do the same with your other fighters, use their first names as well and give it some consistency! It's not like FURY is a common surname

Agree Hook it is pretty sad of Hennessey to use TYSON to get extra hits but then again you have to give it to him, the more hits he gets the better isn't it. I don't like these releases just like you but we would moan if we didn't hear anything from him, can't have it both ways.

he's an english irishman. I dont see why he has to be exclusive.
