Why people say Groves will lose with Smith?

I've heard that Degale won to Smith because his style was good for Degale, and I've heard that Groves won to Degale because his style was good for Groves. Now, I've heard that Smith's style is bad for Groves and he will beat him. Some people say that Smith is like Anderson and will beat to Groves. I don't think so, but what do you think about it?

I've not seen a single man predict a smith win.

He's got a big task ahead of him.

Groves climbed off the floor to stop Kenny Anderson, went and sparred Dirrel for a month, then beat Degale. And is still improving.

Meanwhile Smith has headed back to middle after some difficult wins and a stoppage defeat.

So their form lines paint the picture.

However Smith is gutsy and has it all to gain here make no mistake.

I can't see Smith winning either. If Groves fights his own gameplan he should have enough to beat Paul Smith.

Groves fought to his best against Degale im not sure he will fight as well against Smith and Smith will pressure him more than Degale did. Groves style is one thats suits Smith very well! Close fight, but im going for Smith

Struggling to see anything but a Groves win - Smith has his skills, but its a fair to say that his limit has been shown.

I think he'll last the distance, or maybe Groves late, either way I think he will lose widely.

I was asked in an interview what I thought of this fight and I've picked groves to win but have some tricky moments along the way.

Smith is a proper fighter, a gritty guy and not unskilled, but always just a British level guy for me I never saw anything more than that. Groves should have too much in the way of skills and variation for him.

Where do you get this from? Groves isn't particularly 'chinny' and Smith is in no way a puncher at SMW.

If Smith wins it'll be a wear-you-down type stoppage or points. He won't win though. Groves will stop him late.

groves is not chinny? Anderson had him on the canvas 3 times so if that is not chinny i dont know what is.

If Groves boxes Smith at range I think he could look very good. Similar tactics to the ones he employed against DeGale.

Yes, he's defo still being trained by Booth.
Then his chances are good. Before the Groves/DeGale fight, Smith would have been a slight favorite v Groves - though as said above, Groves chin is still a question ( easy to forget after a great win ) and Smith is a tough SOB, who's been after this fight for awhile now - he'll be very confident.

Groves late TKO imo. Smith is average. However Groves struggled against a pressure fighter in Anderson but Kenny is alot better then Smith.

Groves will banjo him, although he better watch out incase he is on the end of Paul Smith's world class power, displayed devastingly against Tony Quigley, Tony Dodson, Steve Bendall, James Degale and countless other 'victims'

This fight is easy for Groves imo and is either wide UD or legit mid to late round stoppage

Groves is not chinny. Anyone can get caught and remember Anderson is a big puncher. Groves wins this easily if he wants to. He can easily outbox Smith but I think he will mix it up and stop him late.

Paul has great boxing skills, too. He just never uses them, these days. He fights applying pressure and relying on power. Can't see him winning the fight, fighting that way. I can't write off Paul totally, but if he used his boxing skills alittle more, his chances would improve markedly.

See them both being cut in a messy, but enthralling fight. If Gallagher gets Smith boxing again he is far more dangerous than recent form.
