whens this ? , i understood Purdy was fighting vassel

Kevin Mcintyre was in frame to fight Vassell on 12th Nov for Commenwealth and then Mr Warren won the bids for Purdy vs Vassell

so Kev was told he wouldnt be able to fight vassell now on the 12th?

Denton is fighting Aussie Samuel Colomban and on the same night Adnan Amar is fighting James Flinn.

Purdy v Lynes makes sense.

Nice to see them all being kept busy and earning rather than being left waiting for mandatories or purse bid politics.

Vassell pulled out.
If Vassell pulled out purse bids would be void i presume. Meybe everyone is working together for the benefit of the boxers for a change, we can only hope so :OhYes:

vassel may be going the i.b.o world title route,
i think he will get a world title shot and be exposed,
but purdy vs lynes great fight, lynes on points

Cracking fight and great test for Purdy. Lynes has been written off by a fair few folks a number of times but always seems to come up with a result when on the brink, really clever boxer and good to watch. Looking forward to this one. If Colin still has enough in the tank I think he can take this on points. There again I didnt think Purdy would win either fight against Watson...shows what I know...

Purdy by stoppage

I think Purdy will knock him out too.

In between Lynes doing alright in his appearances in PF, it's worth noting that he's only won one ''proper'' fight since the robbery loss to Branco, which seems like years ago, and has a couple of bad KO losses within that run.

Fair dues, certainly see your point. The two KOs were at a very high level (Olusegun & McCloskey) and the win was over Pryce who's a very good operator on his day and had a decent natural size advantage. It'll be a good gauge on where Purdy is if he can come through this, if he does then I'd agree it's likely to be by stoppage.

Pretty poor match this, why don't Matchroom really get creative and do Lauri vs Bami in a semi final with the 2 winners to fight each other to really take us back in time !!!!!

Regurgitating same old same old !!!!!!

In boxing monthly ratings Purdy 4 no Lynes. But the contenders below Purdy are Watson 5 who Purdy beat twice, O Donnell, Gavin (How is he number 7) Jennings , Yassine, and Witter. O'Donnell would have been better but he not fought since losing to Watson. Is Jennings still fighting?

Vassell pulled out because Warren, thus allegedly, won purse bid for two Sky fighters.

So instead of a British and Commonwealth title fight, we now get an inhouse Mathroom fight, Purdey v Lynes, plus Vassell v some Aussie
