Should I pay for this?

i think this will be a cracking fight
both similar sizes and will be in same weight as opposed to what Mayweather shockingly done for the fight against MArquez.

i expect it to be close for first half but with pac putting marquez down at some point going on to a points win.

Expect people to say Mayweather done much easier Job so he would destroy Pacman

Well, it's basically the lightweight champion of the world versus the welterweight champion, which should intrigue enough. But if not...

I think JMM's age & accumulated wear will mean PacMan has an easier time than he did previously but it's still a better fight than Pacquiao's last... Er. Since he fought Cotto, maybe? Clottey was scared stiff, Mosley shot to shite, & the awful awful beating Margarito took off Mosley (plus Marg's lack of craft & hand & footspeed) didn't make me confident about his chances.

With JMM, he's as old as sin, but he's a bad-arse mofo, his style has given Pac nothing but nightmares & he's the best (in-form) fighter Manny has fought in two years.

Plus, it can't really fail to be anything other than a bit of a barn-burner. So yeah, I'd say it's worth it.

I'm buying it, yeah.

This is the first proper fight Manny's had since he fought Cotto.

There'll be no hugging and kissing like there was with Clottey and Mosley, no ''I just want to get my money and go home''.

Can see how he looks in training that he's up for it, Marquez is a genuine threat to him and his standing as the best fighter in boxing.

I like Marquez but I kind of think everybody is being suckered into paying for a mis-match. They were competitive when they fought at the lower weights, but Marquez doesn't carry the extra weight well has no power at welterweight. He had Marquez down several times early before and I think he has him over again and this time he stays down because Manny hits harder now. Mayweather played with Marquez and could've KO'd him if he fought more aggressively. If we honestly believe that a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would be competitive then Manny should be able to shrug off Marquez's best shots and knock him out. I know, I know, styles make fights and Marquez has run Manny very close in the past. But the weight is a big factor here.

As always when I say something negative like this I hope I'm wrong and it's a great fight like the first two.

Nah dude it's officially a welterweight fight but it's at a catch weight of 144 I HOPE I'm totally wrong and it's decent but I think Manny stops him in the first half, and if he doesn't he carries him.

I think Pacman is now too young and too big for Marquez. I think Marquez makes hard work of fights cause of weight issues at Lightweight. I think he could probably still opporate effectively at Super Feather.

For me, JMM is 2-0 in the series, but this time I think Pac man will legitimately win.... just has less wear, is a more confident fighter now than he was in the first 2 fights.

I don't think the weight is that big an issue, there's only a few lbs between them going by their ''in ring'' weights, the same as there was both four and seven years ago.

As much as I love Pacquiao, his opponents in his last three fights have flattered him, Clottey didn't throw a punch, Cheato had nearly been murdered by Mosley and Mosley went running for the hills.

None of those three are as accurate as Marquez, nor possess anything like the ring IQ either. Pacquiao still makes lots of mistakes, overshooting with his left hand being one - with JMM being capable of landing hard shots through the middle with perfect timing I don't see the walkover that many predict.

I see a fairly close but decisive verdict in Pacquiao's favour, with JMM having plenty of moments throughout.

I wouldn't mind if they both bowed out after this actually, great fighters the pair of them.

144 catchweight for Pacman? i bet he loves that that agreement as his last few fight have been 144 or thereabouts whereas JMM has been campaiging at 132 -135 for his last few bar the bloated version who went against Floyd.

Pacquiao has the power but Juan has the nous and previous experience which makes for an interesting fight

For a while it looked like they wanted Alvarez to face him at 147.... there was a bit of a beef when JMM accused him of not being a proper Mexican warrior, dragging up a European class welter in Hatton up to 154, then imposing a catchweight of 150, which he failed to meet

Jmm is a bit too big For Saul, he prefers to fight light-flys these days.

Definately worth buying. Yes Manny will win but he will need to go to war to get there. And war with a Mexican is always s treat. JMM will come to fight that is for sure.

I think this maybe worth a buy but i cant see it being anything other than a one sided pasting of JMM. People are saying the weight isnt an issue but it is, Pac and JMM last fought at super feather weight this is a different ball game JMM clearly struggled to carry the power up to welter when he fought PBF, Manny hasnt had that problem.

Pac mid rounds KO imo.

Yeah buy it if you can afford it, should be a good fight although if you have to choose between paying for this fight or the Margarito vs Cotto rematch one then i'd definately go for the former as it's got a fantastic undercard, probably best of the year.
