No excuses but my hand went, i had no notice and hadn't prepared for a southpaw, oh and I'm a light welterweight. But no excuses.

Not easy being interviewed after a defeat-He did take the fight at short notice -He did his best and can still improve i would say.

They are trying to sell him on the fact that he's done a bit in the Wildcard but thats not gonna win him fights.
Hopefully he does improve, fair play to him for "saving the show" anyway, can't say i would have done the same in his position!

This guy just isn't that good from what i've seen, could be a good learning fighter for younger fighters moving through

Why did he say he hasn't fought in over 3 years until last week?

If he achieves as much as him then thats not a bad comparisons to have thrust upon him.

Not sure but maybe he didnt consider the three journeymen that he fought before Frontin as legitimate tests. I know the two fights in Ireland were very late notice affairs as well. But that still only makes 2.5 years so maybe he was rounding it up. Guessing here now tbh.

the geezer has had unlimited rds v frankie gavin :!: :!: the french guy wasnt silky & was there to hit. ive never seen byrnes but have heard him trap off, as he like all the irish ams are treated like stars & goes to there head after appearing in the irish daily star

i thought byrnes stood to square on putting pitty pat punches that held no power & never set anything up & pretty much showed his hand early & the french guy knew he had his number very early.farnell done the right thing & will prob see the back of him now.
