He won 5 consecutive ABA flyweight titles (1929-33). Went the Olympics and won a Bronze for England.
But yet as a Pro managed just a 3-8 record. And never managed to KO no one as a Pro. WOW talk about a terrible Pro Career.
Although after just 3 fights he faced ATG 61-7 Benny Lynch and was stopped in the 14th round. Why was he rushed so soon and taking on Lynch after just 3 fights in 15 rounders? Incredible.
After this he lost his next 7.
