Can anyone enlighten me? i thought the rules were changed a few years back saying you had to win belt and defend it three times (previously twice) Purdy says in Boxrec news he expects to keep belt if he beats Lynes on wednesday,

I'm sure if Purdy keeps the belt after just two defences Gary Sykes will have to take major issue. He lost super-feather belt in his third defence and was told he had to win it again if he wanted it outright.
