you wont get more brutal than dennis powell from llanymynech v george walker ( billy walkers brother from stepney) in liverpool stadium in the early 50,s as it was the most brutal fight ever seen in a british ring, the ring apron and even the ropes were covered in blood,it was carnage ! love to see that fight,is their any footasge of it ? heard so much about it !

Same night as Lewis-Golota/Gatti-Ruelas (is that right? That can't be right. {Goes to have a look. } That is right. I am old). Was shown on TV as the chief support of the UK leg of the PPV (yes, I know).

Klemetsen flattens him with a left hook from Hell. Never seen it since, but it was such a vivid knockout...

It's just brutal.

Got it on tape somewhere.

The Ruelas KO was also pretty good that night, was actually a FOTY if I remember? I just seem to remember it being a real hairs on the back of your neck type fight.

youtube it! :TU:

Yeah it was 1997, fab fight. :OhYes:

Funnily enough although I already had the Gatti-Gabriel fight I got it again last week when I bought the Ring Magazine fights of the year from 1973 onwards for £25 quid from online.

Some bloody great fights I'd not seen and others worth watching again inc the best quality Hagler-Hearns I've seen and I've got three different copies.

The most brutal one I saw live was Gilbert Eastman getting knocked out at elephant and castle in a commonwealth title fight. I thought he was dead, ofcoarse luckily he was alright in the end.

I meant you upload it to Youtube!

As for being robbed, not really 38 fights good quality about 65p a fight. I'm happy.

The ones I wanted weren't available on the torrent sites I go on.

My VCR keeps chewing up tapes. I keep meaning to get another or get it fixed but I just know it'll mean hours and hours of converting fights and I don't have the heart for it.
