i had it 115-114 burns or 6-5-1 in rounds

i also watched it via the website as im at work so i will update my scorecard after i watch the fight on sky tommorrow ight when im in.

very good fight , both deserve immense credit although i dont know what fight the judes were watching??? 9-3 in rounds to burns?? no chance

ps: and im scottish

just to add that ive watched the fight again on tv and came up with the same score although i scored some rounds different

I had Burns by 2 rnds......The official cards were a mile off.....the right man got the decision.

115 - 113 Burns. Judges were on crack!

Burns 116-112 for me.

I also had it 115--114 for Burns

From my perspective 116-112 Burns was the widest it could have been.

Had it around 114-114 or 115-113 to Burns.

I am a big Kasidas supporter though so i may have been a bit biased and have no problem with Burns winning that fight.

For me Burns def got 1,2,3,6,9,11.

I gave Katsidis 4, 8 and 10 with 12 even. 5 and 7 were close but I thought Burns scored well from range and caught a hell of a lot of Katsidis punches on the arms and gloves when on the ropes - not scoring punches - plus Katsidis threw a hell of a lot of arm punches in through rounds 4-11.

I thought the judges were fine, the absolute best Katsidis could have got would have been 114-114. I wouldn't have seen that as a shocker, just that every possible Kat round had been given to him.

If anyone had Katsidis winning I'd have questions

agreed. whatever anybody says about katsidis that was a very good win for burns. katsidis never stopped coming and burns showed great maturity and discipline. he learned a lot tonite.

I had Burns winning by 2 points. Think it could have been by 3 at the most.

i had 117-112

i was wavering on whether it was 4 or 5 rounds, thought he was in control, took kats' flurries on his gloves, used his jabs beautifully and paced the fight to perfection, still looked fresh at the end. Terrific performance, but Katsidis aged in the ring.

115-114 for Burns.

I think 8-4 was about right.

Katsidis didn't really land all that much clean, most of them were taken on the gloves, and Burns caught him routinely with the counter uppercut coming in.

Burns 7 rounds to 5 - thought it was reasonably easy to score if I am brutally honest was very surprised by the wideness of the scores, perhaps
a lot more of Katsidis work was hitting gloves than I thought, right man won though.

I had it 7 rounds to 5, but I gave all the close ones to the pressure of Kasidis. Burns definately won this one - I do think the official scorecards were kind to him, but a definate winner.

Good composed performance from Burns - looked strong at the weight.

was a smaller scale version of Martinez / Barker , only Burns threw enough clean, quality shots to keep Kats off him and rack up the points doing so.

I was really impressed with Ricky and very very happy to have predicted this so wrong...I though Kats would overwhelm him early, the problem was the aussie was so happy to land on gloves thinking the pressure would tell he slowly tired himself out whilst taking nice shots in the process.

i scored 116-113 in favour of Burns,

not many Brits with 2 wins as good as Martinz & Katsidis on there resume. Hope he continues with this type of match making as he has an oppurtunity now to really stamp his ground on recent British history.

I had 9-3 ( 117-111) for Burns and I was surprised when watching it live that Bunce and Woodhall had it closer . However , from reading others scores in this thread it is quite clear that there were many different opinions . I think it comes down to how you score rounds when one boxer hooks away at his opponents arms for 30 seconds without landing a clean blow ,and the other keeps his arms up and leans back against the ropes ? Personally I try only to score punches which land on the target areas ,however if a fighter simply covered up for most of the round I'd have to score it to the one at least trying to score !!
