Most people know i am a huge fury fan,find him good to watch when hes on form , but i hope i dont see him fight like that or in that type of mind set or condition again ...he looked fcuking terrible :(
i hear his dad got a knock back on his appeal and hes fell out with his uncle/trainer again ...do you think thats had a bearing on all this dark minded BS hes been coming out with ?
I still say he could be half tidy...if he applied to his trade better

He's a bum. He's in disgraceful shape, can't punch his weight and is dillusional. Yes, he was gonna win last night but it was stopped too soon - 1 - to preserve C5's money maker and 2 - the crowd were mostly his family and friends and would've smashed up the place had he lost!!

Harrison and Price would do Fury, no probs.

I do like Fury,he fights often and always gives his all,but he has now been hurt by two very evarage fighters and will no doubt get chinned before long,i actually think Fraudley could beat him right now and price would definately ko him for sure.

I was embarassed watching Fury in there, how can he want to fight Klitschko's in 12 months after that

I watched it with the misses, and she asked was it really boxing? i said 'what do ya mean?' she said 'there jus fighting like people in a bar, thats not boxing'. I have to agree it was very poor. Fury looked awfully slow, i just wish he'd get himself in shape to at least look like an athlete and get a good trainer who can help with his technique and sort out his defence. Hes one of the most well known boxers at the minute at least to the casual fan and not a very good example of what our sport is about.

Fully agree. My girlfriend (hardly watched boxing ever) said watching Fury against Chisora 'He doesn't look very good does he'. The general public can be fooled to an extent, but Fury's flaws as well as his physique are impossible to hide.

entertaining fighter got dropped by non puncher, too open and wont get up if he cant duck an overhand right.

i wouldnt go to one of his fights unless i was tooled up, the atmosphere has something unpalatable about it and its obvious elements of his following dont know how to behave

Fury's legs seem awfully small for his overall body frame, and it seems to almost certainly be affecting his billity to hold a decent shot right now. He needs a proper consistent trainer, who will teach him how to use his size advantages, and also how to infight propery, he also needs an alex ariza type nutritionist and physique guru .... if he had more muscle on his legs he would hold a shot far better ala Amir.

He also needs to take some time off, and have a 3 month period sparring different styles... he certainly seems to have a touch of Audley panic about him when someone throws shots at him...needs ironing out very quickly if his team are serious about stepping him up anywhere above domestic/commonwealth level.


I'd like to see him in with a Sosnowski, Sexton type of fight next to give him rounds against decent opposition

There is definitely something awry with Fury.

I've never seen a prospect & a belt holder so poorly prepared & ill focused for a defence of a major belt.

Fury really needs to focus on his career & get back on track.

He has the heart of a pride of lions; he just needs to finesse & skills to back up the heart & he will go far.

Fury is built like Ustinov.... he is clearly flawed and will get only slightly better

he didnt use the jab until it was too late..... and got dropped

against any b-class heavy he'll risk getting beat unless he gets behind the jab

but his weight will continue to go up

As Muhammad Ali might have said, if Fury dreams about fighting a Klitschko right now, he better wake up & apologise!

On last night's show, a half fit David Price would school him too.

Fury really needs to sort himself out.

Dont know what all the moaning is about the guy was gone he could not fight on

How was he lucky? He turned the fight round himself, the stoppage might have been a bit early but it wasn't far off.

while i do not rate fury at all, i agree with you he wasn't lucky and he was going to win the fight for sure.

I also agree though with wild that i dont think he will go much further without drastic changes.

Is sitting on a gold mine but I suspect he is going to throw it all away. Was in nowhere near as good condition as he was for Chisora. I think he's got the potential to go all the way but will probably blow it through lack of conditioning.

Fury has got good handspeed and boxing ability from range

He needs to learn how to fight like the klitcko's

His fitness looked awfull, his mentality looked shit, he looked like he wasn't in the mood

without his fitness, and if he doesn't learn how to fight like klits from range then i don't reckon he will amount to anything

he isn't the hardest puncher so will have to rely on his boxing - long jab right hand etc etc

Agree he is a punter's dream, one for those people who only tune in to boxing now and again with a few beers...nothing wrong with more publicity for the sport, but it's sad that terrestrial/C5 pinned its badge to this guy, rather than a Froch, who is entertaining and talented

I can't stomach watching him fall around the ring and then have it described as Hagler/Hearns etc

Good and bad points from Saturday, but the negatives outweigh the positives for me on this performance

And another one - my missus and in-laws said the same.

My mate (sho isn't a boxing fan) phoned me to say that Eubanks son was on TV. He phoned me the next day and said the same about fury.

When I told him that he was in relative good shape and he should have seen him a year or 2 ago he couldn't believe it.


Also, about fury's followers - they need to be kept under control otherwise Channel 5 are going to regret the deal.

It started out with the 10 bells for Joe Frazier, and it looked as though there was a bit of a scuffle when Fury was in trouble. If Fury had got knocked out there would have been a riot live on tv and I believe that the opponent would have been targetted (he was getting stick at the end as it was, but fair play to him he also gave a bit back).

I also don't know who is advising Fury on this split personality thing, but surely that is a mistake. He has had great PR and exposure, and I cannot understand why he has decided to go down this road ?

my theory on Fury is I don't think he's been hit in the face that often. A combination of his size and too-soft sparring over the years means he's never actually took many shots in the gym, so he still flinches and panics like a novice when someone rushes him in a fight.

I think he's been built up by those around him to be a bit a of a circus act, cashing in on his size and traveller background to pull the crowds in and line everybodys pockets.

Seems like a top bloke though, don't like to be negative about him really, but he's way off Klitschko level. Should set his sights much lower imo. Wouldn't fancy a dig off him tho.

Fury isn’t much kop but Price needs to fight someone with a pulse to prove to me he is legit. Have said it before, Price doesn’t seem to fully believe in himself, I don’t think he will be able to take a shot when he eventually gets nailed. Hope he proves me wrong tho. Fury is fun to watch but he has found his level. If he was, as Alan Partridge once eloquently commentated “fighting in a barn in Somerset, naked as the day he was born” I would bet my house on him to win. But this is pro boxing hombre’s and it requires skills as well as heart.

There's no point messing about with Price any more, his career never seems to move forward. It's more than three years since the Olympics and he could and should have got much, much further on than he is now.

They might as well chuck him in with Fury ... but i think Five might like the sound of Fury v Audley and if Price can get himself in the picture then they can do that one next.
