Died suddenly this morning. Did more than most to keep boxing alive in Hartlepool and the North East generally in the 1980s and 1990s. I went to school with his daughter. Lovely girl. Thoughts are with his family.

Saw a documentary about him when he was trying to lobby as an MP. God bless, his heart was in the right place in more ways than one.

Its always sad to lose someone who has Boxing running through their veins 24/7. Certainly was the man in Hartlepool for Boxing, my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. R.I.P. Gus Robinson.
