A 10 x3 headliner has been scheduled for a while now?

very rare for our heavies to stray beyond 4 or 6 rounders these days....

is this for an area title or sumfink?

To be honest, I can't imagine he'd be facing anyone too dangerous. I would hazard a guess at a British or International Masters-type belt again an Eastern European. All the best to him but he's limited.

Ali is not looking for an easy option. We have made offers (good money) to two well known UK/European boxers for which we are awaiting a reponse.

Ali has recently changed trainers and has improved massively.

If we do not get the boxers we want we have a foreign alternative in reserve but we want a major fight. Obviously I cannot give names or purses offered but these are comparable with TV shows.

Matt Skelton and Larry Olubamiwo have been offered the fight, be very interested to see whether or not they will step up to the plate. Could be one of the best HW clashes for while if either fighter takes it!!

Adams-Skelton, or Adams-Olubamiwo could be very good fights, make it happen and we could see if Adams has improved!

Are you guys serious both would stop him in six rounds i really think adams should try and get down to cruiser if he wants to do anything. I watched him against tyrone wright who blow up from super - middle and had never boxed at heavy and adams was lucky to get the drew.

The thing is when i spoke to him at prizefighter he is a really nice guy but i think he is well build for cruiser

Looks a different fighter under new management team and trainer. Let's just wait and see.

Just been told by Dean Powell they have gone for a foreigner for Ali. I did say yes to the fight by the way.

If Larry said Yes, then why bring in a foreigner OGoodwin? imo that wouldn't been a fight id taken either way too Dangerous once Larry connected it would be over..

We originally offered the fight in October with no response. Matt Skelton then turned the fight down. We re offered to Larry. Two deadlines to accept were set to agree the fight. These weren't met. We then signed a contract for another fighter. By then it's too late. Larry has been offered the fight for March 10 th provided Ali wins on 3rd December. I can confirm Ali is fighting for the International Masters title on 3rd December. Hope Larry signs up for 10 th March in time!

If thats the Truth then

Deadlines had to be met apparently so Goodwin Promotions couldn't get the fight on in time. I'm meeting up with Ali tomorrow, but I think he is devastated that he couldn't get it on with Larry.

March 10th has to happen tho, will be a mouth watering contest!!

Fights can be made in days if needs be sureley there is enough time to sighn this fight with larry ? the Dallas v Price fight was made with 4 days to go .

Contracts have been signed, so no change of opponent will take place now.

March 10th will be a big night of Heavyweight boxing of that I can assure you!!!

Pretty poor comparison. Dallas Price was easy to make. Both Maloney fighters, and Dallas was given pretty staggering money after McDermott pulled out. Besides, it was a Sky bill. Completely different kettle.

Any fight can be made with four days to go if you have unlimited funds. As this was a non TV fight we had no choice but to impose a deadline for signing and agreeing. Two deadlines were made and not met. I had no choice but to sign contracts with an alternative otherwise we could have ended up being blackmailed with crazy demands that would have not been remotely affordable. It was a shame that the original and then subsequent deadline was not met.

If you keep extending deadlines you can end up a day before without an opponent.

Under the law of the land once a contract is signed with an opposing boxer it has to be honoured so once the deadlines were missed and I signed a contract with another boxer that was the end of it.

This is my second show as a promoter and I like all boxing fans wanted Ali Adams v either Matt Skelton or Larry Olubamiwo. Sadly this was not to be this time.

As a small promoter I am trying to deliver what I promise to boxers who fight on my show. I could not afford not be able to deliver Ali Adams a 10 round title fight. I just wish it was against Larry but it was not for the lack of money offered to Larry or the efforts on my part.
