I've seen diddley from Brook to suggest he's world class let alone in Khans league. Funny they talk on one hand about fighting a bum like Garlarza next and then start acting like Khan is ducking them. When Kell becomes World champion then fine start calling out Khan for a fight but untill then he should stfu and make a name for himself off his own back rather then Amirs.

Kell definitely needs to step up the level of opponents, seriosuly. He is talneted and keeps calling out Khan but there is no comparision on their resumes.

Kell is good, very good but jeez, get in with someone semi dangerous, at least.

How it usually works is that Kell is asked a question about Amir Khan, as he was several times today, and then he answers it based on what he thinks.

But, to be fair, you're all right to some extent.

Until he's got a world title belt, he'll always be open to a slagging and there's nowt much to say about it.

His career just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I really hope they're not sitting around waiting for the Khan fight because Brook isn't in a position to offer Khan much more than a toe in the water in the division at the minute, one he needn't even bother with because I'm sure he'll get bigger offers.
I disagree with some of this mate. For the first year of the last two, agreed. Since blasting out the utterly overmatched Kotey under a previous promoter though, in the last six months he's fought N'Dou, Jackiewicz and now got a run out on a high profile card in the States. That's not too bad, surely? Especially considering who he boxed in 2009 and 2010.

2012 will be an important year for him, one way or the other.

What I can say is that Eddie Hearn seems determined to do the best he can for him, and I believe he'll get him a title shot of some sort within the next six months.

Do you think N'dou and Jackiewicz are a good level of opponent for him though? I just think he should be fighting better opponents when he's supposed to be on the edge of the world title scene. Fighting on the undercard of Ward-Froch is a good thing to be doing for exposure in the states, but look at the opponent? I know it's just a fight to put him on show for the Americans and to try to build up a Khan fight but they could have got someone who might make the fight a little but exciting.
Totally agree, both N'dou and Jackiewicz may have both been ranked but they were also the least threatening welterweights possible to bring over so i'll give Hearn credit in spotting them but it definately dosen't make Brook world class by beating them.

As mentioned Garlarza is just cynical match-making, someone who looks like they have a decent record but when you inspect it closely it's a shite one built on bums. Theres loads of American Welterweights they could have got who at least would have tested Brook like Terrance Cauthen, Allen Conyers, Antwone Smith, Joel Julio, Demetrius Hopkins and Ed Paredes. None of those guys are Top 30 but they would have given him a fight and tested Brook to see if he actually has what it takes or is just another Hype job.

I agree kell wouldn't know where the punches have came from for 2 or 3 rounds, but it's not "FACT" the problem I have is I really like both these guys very much, I won't be cheering anyone in particular but must admit, i think khan will be to good for kell anytime soon !

Fight Matty Hatton next. Hatton has been around and would be a fair scrap. I find it incredible Brook is 25-0. I mean Haye & Khan are at fight 27 and look what they achieved. I thought leaving FW was supposed to move him faster?

Having 25 fights and not achieving what others have dosent bother me in the slightest, I trust Eddie Hearn to give him an important next 6 fights and his going to learn a lot, haye and khan lost early and maybe proved to be true champions doing so, kells kell and I believe they know what there doing !

I think Kell Brook would be better going out and making a name for himself in-ring rather than goading people out-ring; it just pisses off the fans more and more and puts more pressure on if the fight does happen (David Haye anyone).

I like Brook but as previously mentioned a massive 12-18 months which could define whether he is the Junior Witter of his generation....... hope not.

Brook was stagnating under Warren, Hearn has done well with him thus far in stepping up the level of opponents and taking him back to Sheffield - two sell out shows, which displays the support is there, the america fight will get him exposure, but the one after that needs to be real world class level, if not for a world title. But agreed with everyone else, Brook needs to shut up about Khan until he wins a world title himself.

What, you don't think he's moved faster since he went with Matchroom? Even if you don't think N'dou and Jackiewicz were 'all that', you surely must concede they were a decent step up from almost all of his previous opponents.

Hatton has been offered the fight more than once - doesn't want it..... that was under Fwrank

2012 will be the year & i believe Khan is always mentioned and he has said he wants the best Welterweight in the UK well thats Kell

Khan is fairly fearless i think. I'd be confident he'd take the fight when he steps up. Brook needs it far more than Khan though

If it is so easy as some state' Khan should fight Kell on return to Britain at 147 ' (Kell undefeated British champion) Khan never won any british belt' he bypassed it' anything less will not be good enough' lets see when the time comes' will it be mathew or Kell. King khan should be King of his homeland'
if its matt the ? will always remain re Kell. Or Kell and matt should get an eliminator on For a world title' winner to fight Khan' :OhYes:

Well yes, you got me there, but he should be much further along by now, suppose that is what Matchroom are trying to do. Hatton is getting paydays so makes sense not to get sparked by Brook. For the record, I do like Kel Brook.

Khan, Brook, Gavin all at welter in the next 2 years? Someone is gonna miss out!
