Very sad. Probably wasn't theirs, and probably did it for peanuts.

So many boxers seem to get caught once they finished. Such a shame very good fighter in his time!

Sad to see but everyone has choices I guess.

A shame as he was a favourite of mine growing up. But he probably thought transporting drugs in a taxi was a fool-proof way of making money and not getting caught. Nothing is fool-proof nowadays.

I work 2 jobs, which means i have to work 14hr days at least twice a week, and only just keep my head above water. We all make our own decisions.
If he is guilty, then he has to face up to it.

That's a big old chunk of sniff he'll be looking at some serious time in the big house.

What a silly boy, if you wana do the crime you gota be prepared to do the time I suppose.

Innocent until proven guilty - but if he is convicted ,absolutely no sympathy . Through away the key .

Same here, not a great choice he made there.

Life is the maximum for for conspiracy to supply but about 7 to 10 years is the usual range. More if he pleads not guilty and is found guilty, less if he cooperates.

There was a story similar to this a few years ago involving the ex Everton player Mark Ward who rented out a property in his name which he knew would be used to store drugs. He got 8 years so I'd expect Brodie to get at least the same.

What do you think his career earnings would have been?

Was he on his way to Tony Oakey's house?

Conspirecy to supply is a mental charge, mate of mine (former boxer actually) got slapped with that one. My cousin is currently doing an 8 stretch for trying to get 80k worth into jersey - the biggest haul found going into the island i believe - he dropped a bollock there as in jersey they have their own law and they hammer you for it, plus it was almost a kangaroo court. he also must serve 75% of his sentence, in some uk instances its less than 50% nowdays!

Brodie, like so many before him was obviously into doing these types of things and got caught. Mad really. hatton, calzaghe, flounoy, jack thingy form blackpool accused, markthompson (was that drugs?) wasnt gavin or bradley saunders accused - apologies to both if not? think ts rife in the sport, wherever you have hard men there's the potential for these types of things I suppose.

four years for that is a joke really. in thailand it's 20 years without any chance of parole for drugs offences and that sounds about right.

No symphathy , facts are I doubt if there was anyone , in overcoat and trilby stood on the corner going ,, psss psss, wanna come help me deal 250 grands worth of coke ... This is bib time shit and only big time regulars are involved in this amount .

So Fack him don't feel sorry for him cos he's an ex boxer give him longer cos he's had oppurtunity's others would never have and he chose , THE LAZY WAY . . wON'T BE A HERO IN COLLLYHURST ANYMORE WILL HE.
