Billy Dib flattens Alberto Servidei

Short and sweet with the Italian only surviving 2 minutes and 38 seconds.

Billy went bunga-bunga to the body of the visitor, who was then counted out.

Billy was highly impressive and Alberto's heavily padded record showed him up badly when confronted with quality opposition.

Well done the Dibster!

the guy is rated 95 in boxrec's world featherweight ratings, clearly a little too high.

the Italian was a joke!

Im sorry but I hate and I mean hate fighters that promote them selves! It just doesnt look good when the guy goes down and just watches the ref count him out in a title fight! For me it was a cock show !

Boxrec's ratings is boxer friendly. Good look is better than quality of opponents

Wow. OOps , didnt see the fight so shall not comment. Might offend a 12 year old.
So...who is gonna be next for Dib. Does he have decent enough financial backing to get a decent opponent out here or will he need to travel??

He has challenged Chris John to a unification fight. He repeated the challenge last night. John trains in Western Australia so they could fight locally.

Boxrec are kind? The IBF rated him as no 8 contender!

A club fighter who has held the EBU featherweight title. Give you some idea of the standard of the lighter divisions in Western Europe?

I have never seen a boxer so obviously sit out a 10 count in a world title fight as Alberto Servidei did. Awful effort by him, not Dibs fault as all he can do is beat whats in front of him

Chris John- now that would be a great fight. And a tough task for Billy. Hope it gets made.

Just watched it. Dib was hurting him to the body but he could of gotten up. Writing was on the wall after about a minute but it was for a title. Disppaointing opponent but cant take anything away from Dib.

I really like the look of Dib lately, he's strong and is actually good to watch.

True what Brute said, he was European champion and undefeated, irregardless how quick the result went, it was an impressive win in impressive fashion.

Looking at the IBF ratings theres not much there in the way of a name except maybe De Leon, who seems to be on a slide.

John can be beaten, don't know if it's Dib who will do it, but i would love to see it.

Dib was more aggressive than usual and tore into Servidei from the opening bell. From what Dib said after the bout he and Hussein had worked out a plan to beat Servidei and Billy stuck to it. Billy seems to have grown up lately. The way he praised his trainer was a good sign.

He even spoke respectfully of Chris John when he challenged him.

Ive just got back to Perth after judging the fight last night. I think the right hand to the head that had Servedei down did all the damage, He was still shaky when Dib hit him with the body shot that stopped the fight. Alberto may have been able to beat the count but he would have struggled to see out the first round regardless IMO.

Impressive win by Billy, He has really improved under Billy Hussien. Far more aggressive, Less showboating.

easy for dib to be aggressive when his opponent has only 7 of his 31 wins by ko.

it doesn't say much for the italian's other opponents.

but u can only win and move on to the next opponent.

When you check out Alberto's bloated record, you see this absolute "Barry Crocker", where only 4 fights before his surrender to Billy, Alberto's opponent that night had the amazing record of: 2(1)Wins - 62(13)Losses - 0 Draws.

Alberto came away with a 6 round points win, which confirms that Billy's management certainly picked their man for an easy title defence.

The IBF rated Servidei no 8 contender for their featherweight title. Are you sure they did not order Dib to fight him? If he was cherry picked, wouldn't Dib have tried to make him look better by not taking him earlier?

I feel that if Billy had decided to carry Alberto for a few rounds, it would have been pretty obvious to those watching live or at home. Billy kept his credibility intact by ending it asap!
