Now.. im not the second coming of Pat Sheehan but i have been to many boxing shows during my 47 years, but i was shocked by this lad last night, yes it was probably first pro fight nerves but i have never seen any professional with such a poor defence as i did in his first 2 rounds lastnight, the punches that he was hit with were thrown from the back of the hall!! nothing missed at all and if he had been in with any sort of a puncher he could have been very seriously hurt. i think he needs to take a long hard look at himself and decide if he wants to carry on in this game.

im not trying to kick the kid when he is down, but im trying to look out for him. boxing can be and is a very cruel ruthless game.

I watched this fight was a good fight theres always gonna be fighters who are at the lower end of the scale and fighters at the top end, i think the post is a little harsh yea he did get caught and could do with working on more defence but it was his 1st fight and Clarke has had over 40 now and stated he up for it now, dont think there was much in the result and could of gone either way but yea could do with slpping more right hands than eating them.

Missed it, I think. I saw a lad who looked utterly disconsolate being supported by 2 girls on my way into the arena. At first I thought he was drunk then noticed his face, which I'm guessing was marked up after losing? I don't know, just a guess. Looked odd.

am not trying to be harsh mate, but the lad was clearly not on the ball last night and could have got hurt, remember, his opponent had only ever won one fight out of about 50!!

I agree, only going to pick up on this. I've seen a lot or ryans fights & even stevie wonder could see that he's won more than two

Im not arguing either all im saying these fights make good viewing as long as he aint over matched fighting the Ryan Clarkes etc sometimes make better viewing than some of the Big Main events we sometimes have to watch, I actually enjoyed the fight and yea he did eat some punches but it is boxing and its gonna happen, I thought it was 1 of the most entertaining bouts of the night due to it being competitive

i enjoyed it too, in a sick way, but everytime a bolo punch was thrown at him it hit him on the vera, im not denying it was entertaining, but you can get killed in there!!

Off a big puncher yea but i dont think Ryan is a huge puncher or if he is Louis has a good chin as he ate a few of them each round, he would of learnt lots from it just making common mistakes like moving to his left onto it everytime onto the shot etc its better than a completely one sided fight

i thought louis was unlucky not to get the nod on sataurday night, he was gutted after the fight but hes only 18 and he can come again, i told him afterwards b hop lost his debut fight and hes not done bad for himself, you have to stick at it in this game, he will be fine

I had it a draw - but only because Clark stopped boxing in rounds three and four. It really was alarming to see how many flush shots he took. Had Clark had a dig, the poor kid would have been sparked inside the first ten seconds, and I'm not kidding.

thanks ian, at last someone who agrees, it was worrying to say the least.

surely basic boxing, if someone throws roundhouse rights..time after time..then keep your left hand up and tight and move to your own right.!!
