THE ROCK vows to comply with all "traditional" expectations.

With The thanksgiving Holiday behind us, and the BRS Turkey having been dispensed with, THE ROCK makes the pledge to always "do the right thing".

No more maverick, No more rogue scallywagging.

THE ROCK has seen the damage he has done, the error of his ways, and the "true path" has been revealed to him.

He will never throw away a title again even to make the very best fights imaginable in behalf of the Sim Public.
He will never beat up on an opponent more than is needed to simply gain the win
He will never brag about his past record of nearly perfect achievment
He wil not make an issue of the fact that he knocks everybody out and makes them see "sim stars".
He will comply with all rules, regulations, and traditions of the Sim, as laid out by the current commish.
He will not speak an unkind word to any opponent under any circumstances

In the spirit of the Holidays, THE ROCK wishes you all the very best.

He also vows to do his best to inspire all the Kiddo's to "pay their taxes, eat their peas, and brush their teeth!".
He understands that a younger generations is depending on him to show the way. And that's jus what he intends to do.

The Rock has yet to face Ali, Tunney or Holmes. In order for him to claim an infallible legacy he must defeat at least 2 of those men. Let's also not forget about Joe Jeannette, who dropped a razor thin decision to Rocky a few weeks ago, and is well deserving of a rematch.

I would say Marciano is borderline HOF without tying up those loose ends.

The three "Master Craftsmen" eh?

Well if that's what must be done, then we will try our best to avoid it before going ahead and doing just that.

Loose ends can also sometimes be overcome with bribery. Well worth remembering, I'd have said.

Lest we forget, the man who has beaten both Holmes and Ali (and lost to both aswell), Sonny Liston.

He is looking forward to facing The Rock.

And the referee handed the victory to Marciano last week... The round is nearly over & the ref stops the fight?

What the sh1t is that? If the Ref had planned to stop the fight at the first sign of trouble, then Rocky should have been stoppe din the first round when he was hurt badly.

This is another robbery!!!

I think the Commish is being very generous here. Rocky Marciano probably is good enough to be entered in, but the tactics of his Manager have come into question time & time again.

At the start of the season, Marciano wasted a lot time on beating a multitude of bums, it has to be said... Seven cpu opponents in the first 8 weeks of this sim.
:shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame:

If Marciano is permitted entry into the Hall after beating these no-hopers: (nine in total, thus far)
Week 1: vs Nikolay Valuev (CPU) W TKO 4
Week 2: vs Tye Fields (CPU) W TKO 2
Week 3: vs Owen Back (CPU) W KO 7
Week 4: vs Tyson Fury (CPU) W KO 4
Week 6: vs Greg Page (CPU) W TKO 10 (scheduled to fight Joe Louis WBC Title eliminator)
Week 7: vs Andrew Golgota (CPU) W TKO 3
Week 8: vs Leon Spinks (CPU) W TKO 1
Week 17: vs JD Chapman W KO 8 (CPU) (chose not to defend his title and got away with it)
Week 20: vs George Chuvalo (CPU) (Did NOT defend his title AGAIN, AGAIN)

Not to mention that Rocky Marciano had spell when refused to defend his IBF Title (so much for Buzz being a HOF manager - he didn't even have the craft or guile to get his fighter a few title defences)

Through weeks 17 - 21, Marciano only defended his title once... (ONCE in 5 weeks!!!)
Week 17: vs JD Chapman W KO 8 (CPU) (chose not to defend his title and got away with it)
Week 18: vs Mike Tyson IBF/Londsale Title W TKO6
Week 19: vs John L. Sullivan W KO3 (Did NOT defend his title AGAIN)
Week 20: vs George Chuvalo (CPU) (Did NOT defend his title AGAIN, AGAIN)
Week 21: vs Ezzard Charles (Did NOT defend title AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN)

He ducked Joe Louis in a WCB Title Eliminator in Week 6.
He refused Joe Louis an IBF mandatory challenge in Week 21.

This is not the behaviour of a HOF fighter. Buzz has spoiled it for Marciano.
TJF, Spinks or Napoles would not duck this much...

The "cheap" start to the season that BoxBuzz took with Marciano undoubtedly drags Rovky's HOF aspirations down heavily. I ask my fellow Managers to consider only this:

If Rocky is allowed to enter, what presidence does this set for future seasons?

What is the moral of this story?
It's OKAY to fight a lot of bums as long as-
you win a few world titles & take the occasional big fight?

And ducking mandatory title defences is acceptable?

C'mon fellas, this aint enough, surely not.

But we do have to be objective and looking at Rocky's record in the past 10 weeks, he has certainly stepped up a gear: (ever since he refused to defend his IBF title against mandatory challenger, Joe Louis)

Week 21: vs Ezzard Charles (Did NOT defend title AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN)
Week 22: vs Lennox Lewis W KO15
Week 23: vs Wladimir Klitchsko W TKO4
Week 24: vs Luis Silva W TKO 8
Week 25: vs Jack Johnson WBC Title Technical Draw
Week 26: vs Jack Johnson WBC Title W TKO11
Week 27: vs Joe Jeanette WBC Title W UD
Week 28: vs Joe Frazier WBC Title W KO5
Week 29: vs David Tua WBC Title W KO7
Week 30: vs Harry Wills WBC Title W TKO1
Week 31: vs Joe Louis W TKO4

It's a good stepup.

I truly believe only one fighter should be getting in the HOF per season, unless of course another fighter has also had an exceptional season.

Dempsey is surely heading straight to the HOF. His nearest rival, Marciano, needs to have his season scrutinized before I could personally make a decision.

Crease, at the end of the seasons we will need to know a few stats.

How many crucial ducks (dropped belts) has he made?
How many cpu's has he fought?
What is his title fight record?

Crease, why aren't you going to beat ol' Rocky over the head for somehow RUNNING from a top ten fighter in the WBC last week? He must have RUN from someone....who was it?

THE FACT is that when he has dropped a belt he has usually fought someone of even greater merit AND been punished for it. EG; Jackson and Louis.

You are not consistent in your logic. And I guess fighting Louis was a cowardly act of some sort if you remain consisitent. To fault THE ROCK for facing Page is SO VERY hypocritical. By the way he KO'd Chuvalo&Tua....a pretty impressive act.

However I'm glad to see you give THE ROCK credit in your most recent post. His #1 rating is purely a direct result of the FACT that he has honestly had a balance of facing the OVERALL toughest competition COMBINED with his overall performance. His permanent address of #1 Sim Boulevard is NO fluke.

Now stop telling lies about THE ROCK's Record.

Jbacca......Dempsey is third behind Ali. Plain and simple. The record is for real. Your envy is noted.

Just as soon as we comply to "traditional values" the judges begin to accept bribes. Very bad timing on our part, but we will not lose heart.

We took a vow to no longer KO our opponents mercilessly, but to simply beat them "just enough". And as soon as the judges get into the mix....look what happens.

The Schmeling and Stribling scandals will haunt these hallowed halls for years to come.

Buzz, JDC's fighters taxed that ass and it's time to accept that The Rock may be on his way down.

Your blatant ducking of Silva confirms to me that you may sense this.

Tzyu.....there is not a "blatant" bone in the entire GBP body of evidence.

This is laughable....there was NO WHERE TO GO but down. Even if he got into his plane right now and sailed away into SIM HEAVEN he has already held the #1 spot for a MAJORITY of the weeks in this season.

The only reason he will not have a lock on the HOF is because he will be LOCKED OUT due to the blistering winds of sim politics.

You know it, I know it, and Bob Dole knows it.
