Painful night for John Murray.

Just watching weigh-in, Rios is 0.6lbs overweight, has an hour to lose it. And he looks awful.

Has Rios made the weight yet? He looks shocking. Murray might be worth a bet after seeing that.

Edit: Rios hasn't made the weight on his third attempt. He has lost his belt, title only on the line for Murray.

Yeah I can't believe how bad Rios looked. Murray has a decision to make now.

I think after he seeing Rios looking that bad, there's no way he can pull out especially after his fans flying over to see him.

Apparently they're going ahead with it as long as Rios weighs a certain amount in the morning. I'm seriously considering placing a fair amount on Murray now.

I've stuck €20 on him at 9/1 with Sportingbet

I'd leave the betting alone.

Rios looked half dead, he might as well move all the way up to welter after this fight.

rios clearly hasnt taken this seriously

could be his undoing

his punch resistance and stamina could be shot in this fight

i think in the past few days he will have tried extremely hard to get down to 135. today he had to drain and drain and drain and still didnt make it. he is dehydrated and probably extremely tired.

murray, who was a virtual 1/1000 shot in my mind, has now become a worthy bet for a few quid. nothing major

Apparently Rios can't weigh more than 146.6 by 9am tomorrow for the fight to go ahead.

My concern here would be that Rios comes in heavy again and Murray is pressured into the fight because of the money / TV / high profile. Could see an outcome like Castillo-Corrales II and regardless of the implications of not fighting tonight, that would be disastrous for Murray's career.

I think Rios is targeting a fight with Khan at 140 and is using Murray to get some exposure in Britain.

Rios is a more powerful, better version of Murray. I think he wins a war after about six rounds, I don't think Murray can hurt him.

sounds about right mate. given the weightmaking, if Murray gets through the first 1-2 rounds and works the body he can make it interesting at least.

John Murray has no shot here whatsoever, I don't even know why he's in there. I hope he's well paid because his team are obviously cashing out on him. A 1 or 2 rd kayo loss should send him packing back to Blighty.

Yeah, no disrespect to Murray at all - He was having success against Mitchell before getting caught in the last couple of rounds but he is far easier to hit than Rios is (and Rios is leaky!) and Rios has good power.

hope john murray smashes that wasted face in of rios. rios looks like he's died and been lifted up for the cameras.

with rios' weight like this, you never know what's going to happen. far too big and strong? flat at the weight and vulnerable?

aggressive fighters who go for it have done well in world title challenges this year - macklin, and martin murray both against felix sturm.
