Just watched some videos of Robert Helenius before he fights Chisora and wanted to know your opinion of the guy in terms of how good you think he is and how far can he go ? Looks to me light a slightly out of shape German from 1972. To me, all he seems to have is some punching power and not a great deal more than that. The opponents that stand out are Brewster, Liakhovich and Peter, the rest are no doubt tomato cans or slightly better. Brewster is a bit of a name but has seen better days and looked out of shape and was around 38 years old. Liakhovich has rarely fought since 2006, which leaves Peter. That fight i will give him some credit for, but i don't think it was the same peter who fought say three or four years back. He seems to me to be quite ordinary, facing washed up, out of shape fighters with a name and has a good punch on him. I'm not that impressed.

Now to Derek Chisora. I have gone with Derek to win by a knock out in the 10th on the prediction league, which is going against my better judgement, but i am doing it cos i want Derek to win. I think it will be a tough fight for him, but after the Fury fiasco, he may be right mentally for this fight and could possibly make Helenius look the more ordinary fighter that i think he is. Derek can also bang a bit and seems to have a little more about his game, little bit more style. This is an important fight because i think it could lead to a world title, which Derek doesn't really desereve, but hey, this is boxing were talking about.

So, what do you think of Helenius and how far can he go, plus, can our Derek topple him ?

I think that Helenius will eventually win an alphabet strap. He's already a top 5/6 heavyweight and is still relatively young.

I've stated it over and over on here, but Chisora has never won past domestic level and lost convincingly in his only fight above that level. Helenius has shown a good beard and Del Boy has never displayed serious KO power, so if someone wins by stoppage I doubt that it will be Chisora. This means that to win he'll have to outscore Helenius over 12 rounds in Finland, and I don't see that happening.

Seriously, i do agree with you about the fight and like i said i'm going against my better judgement on this one. But this sort of fight is what Chisora needs if he is to prove himself above and beyond the domestic scene. The fury fight i don't give much credence to, i think Chisora, quite wrongly, had the wrong head on for that fight, no doubt because he underestimated Fury and was still sulking over the cancelation of the Klitschko fight. I think if Chisora faced Fury again he would stop him, but that is also going on Fury's last two fights. In reality i can see Chisora losing on points or getting stopped late on, but i really hope that he can pull it off and that's why iv'e gone for a Chisora stoppage.................Heart over head !!

Chisora is in shape for this at 243lbs. It is obvious Fury beat a shell of Chisora. You could see a peak of a 6 pac at the weigh-in.

Chisora needs to be lighter than 243lbs.

He'll be too flatfooted and that'll cost him in this fight. For me he's got the ability to succeed at European class and perhaps beat a few stylistically favourable opponents above that if he gets his ass into shape.

Helenius is pretty basic I agree, but he's got good stamina and can whack a bit too.

Chisora's record is nothing either, but i think he will be up for this fight because of the Fury loss and wants to prove a point.

Both are very basic relative novices - should be a good match up - I think Chisora can win also but he will have to do it early.

Helenius looks like a greasy rocker, Chisora seems fired up for this one, he really wants it (like an X Factor contestant) I can see a late KO for Del Boy

I don't either, Peter is a fat, lazy bum these days unfortunately.

Like you say neither of them have the greatest records on paper, but certainly Chisora is the underdog having lost badly to the only championship class fighter he's faced - I'm not convinced Sexton is championship class tbh.

The worry for Del in this fight is that he will stand in front of the Finn a lot, though he can slip jabs fairly well he'll be catching a lot of them in this fight, I just see him being hit way too much and eventually being worn down and stopped late.

Dimitrenko is the easier fight for him I feel, though it's blatantly obvious why he's vacated the European.... wouldn't fancy him against Helenius at all.

Chisora needs to try and end in 6 rounds if not i think helenius will win 9/10 round ko

Helenius really does not look like a fighter at all but he is devastating when he scores a knockout. Other than that, he seems plodding and got outworked even by Sergei Lyakovich. He was rocked by Attilla Levin as well but fired back and Levin, as we know, doesn't have the best of chins.

I pick Helenius by KO. He just seems more of a winner, and has certainly faced better opposition than Chisora and is fighting in the comfort of home.

I don't rate him that highly, but certainly he'd whack Dimitrenko and Fury.

Fury would run him really close if he gets is training sorted. Helenius is really open to the long jab and fury could pick him off easy but helenius is really strong

Fury is really frustrating - he regularly comes in out of shape and doesn't use his strengths very well.

One thing that really annoys me with the young British prospects is a complete lack of inside fighting ability..... especially if they've had long amateur careers. Stephen Smith is hopeless on the inside, Fury isn't much better etc. Not everyone can be as good as Mayweather in close or even as good as Hatton, but ffs.....

All the hard training in the world will not improve Fury's glass chin. I wouldn't give him a shot against Helenius at all.

They are both relatively untested but Chisora seems to like to take a breather and I don't think Helenius will let him do that. I think the Finn will win via stoppage late on

I'm starting to change my mind after reading some of these comments. I honestly thought that Helenius would control him behind the jab and stop Chisora mid-late rounds with little fuss. I haven't seen a great deal of him in action, granted, but he will surely be too big and strong, no?

Yes. Helenius for all his flaws is a winner & hits very hard. Chisora is a weirdo, God only knows what goes on in his mind but we saw versus Tyson Fury that the man is at heart a loser.

I reckon Chisora was playing up at the weigh in for two reasons. Firstly, to motivate himself sufficiently (he does seem to have a suspect personality) and secondly to try and drag Helenius into a brawl, the old tactic of making him angry and hopefully make mistakes.

Which in this case I don't see happening at all. I reckon Helenius will just dominate him even more as a result of those weight in antics.
