Why must these guys sully their records and damage their health?

The man who was top dog in Britain 2001-05 and traded bombs with Mike Tyson would never have lost to the men who routinely beat him up these days. Oh, Danny.

Williams was a good domestic fighter but you're talking about him as a ring legend! Traded bombs with Tyson? Tyson was at least 10 years past his best. Williams has never made a fortune from the sport so probably needs the cash to supplement his current income

He's definitely done for good now. He was saying afterwards that he is "totally gone" and "have to finish now".
Hopefully he keeps his word this time.

He is a British legend, lighten up mate! He whacked Kali Meehan in 1 only for Kali to later beat Lamon Brewster, gave us some tremendous scraps and although Tyson was certainly a fading force he could still handle most heavies but Williams took it to him. So simply because he was British and fought over here doesn't automatically disqualify him from being anything above domestic level.

He was a warrior in his day and its sad to see him reduced to a punchbag.

He should retire. Mind you Danny was never the sharpest tool in the box, so a few beatings are unlikely to affect his profound intellectuality

Williams must have been handsomely paid for his four combined fights with Audley Harrison and Matt Skelton as well? With money he's earned in European title fights, world title fights, high profile fights, he surely would have a few quid to invest in a bit of property, a few flats to keep cheques coming in after he hung up the gloves?

I am a big fan of Danny's and he fights because he either misses it, enjoys it, needs the money or doesn't really know what else to do.

I am not sure what is his motivation but he gave me some great memories. I don't like seeing him getting whacked about by guys he would have destroyed, but it his choice.
