These rankings say it all. Check out just how many world champions the WBA have across the divisions. More than once they have THREE men sharing the same world title.
Un... fornicating..... believable.
And what does it say about the boxers & promoters who pay them money to fight for these titles?

I think the single biggest indictment of the WBA is how the f**k they have Hasim Rahman ranked at No 1 in their Heavyweight rankings!!

And how do the IBF have numbers 1 and 2 as NOT RATED??

Yep, and it seems like Brian Magee went out to Costa Rica to win the most pointless interim title ever. AFTER Magee won this, Sartison got stripped - but Magee was overlooked for fighting for the champion proper.
All that win seems to have to done is move him out of the rankings!

Surely these organisations must realise that the farcical title situation puts people off watching boxing?
The other day there was a feature on Lee McAllister getting a European title shot on Reporting Scotland. The reporter said "Two-weight world champion (WBU) Lee McAllister has landed the biggest fight of his career, a shot at the European title". My wife asked "Why would a European title be a big fight if he is already a world champion?" All I could do was sigh and say it's because boxing is a fucked up sport which makes bugger all sense to anyone.
The best thing to do as a fan is try and ignore the belts, which is near impossible when boxers and TV networks put so much emphasis on them.

All these alphabet organisations are a joke, but the WBA are by far the worst; generally they have the weakest champions as well.

Fair play to them if they can get away with it.
Being a credible organisation probably makes them less money, so why not lose all credibility in return for some nice wedge?
