I've read that this fight could happen next year for the lightweight interim WBO. I think Kevin Mitchell would be a better fight for all british boxing fans.

Spoke to Ricky the other day, at braehead shopping center. Said that this was goin to be his next 1, but he'd rather a harder 1. Ad take Ricky 2 beat him easy, best jab in the biz. The Hattons would throw money at this fight, to promote it, which is great 4 Ricky.

Got to fancy Burns for this one. No disrespect to Crolla, who is one of the most improved boxers in Britain, but Burns will just have too much for him.

is that a joke about derry? he seems to get a lot of opportunities, considering he was stopped by scott lawton not long ago...

why would crolla get a shot at burns, when burns has the same promoter as mitchell & murray? surely hatton has to work his man into a mandatory position.

I don't want to see any of these.

I want Burns in fights with some top 10 Ring ranked contenders.

Thats not going to happen I imagine they made a big loss on Katsdis show as arena was half full!

I imagine it be someone then Mitchell which would sell tickets in Scotland.

I want the same but I think the lad should be in at least 1 domestic 'Battle of Britain' to help build his name and earn him some cash for later on in life.

No dropping down to marathon runners for the WBO though.

can't see this happening but i liek crolla, reckon he can time burns' sloppy right (too high, too wide for my compact standards) with those short left lead/counters of his, and win the half WBO title in a memorable battle.

crolla better than the commonwealth guys that burns was defending against. burns seems able to handle the strong guys but i reckon a tidy boxer cna give him real problems - crolla.

Derrys had 10 fights since he lost to lawton winning 9 of them and beatin Lawton and Choi in the process

he's also looked frail, has suffered bad stoppage losses not long ago, and seems to be given the benefit of the doubt since the rees fight was cut short, and gets hyped up by everyone at every little ray of hope.

he was a good fighter but surely he's going to fold again, especially in a championship fight?

good luck to the man as he's clawed his way back somewhat from disaster, but there are guys who can take much better opportunity of a major (EBU, world) title fight.
