he hasnt got the ring title. Although i can see his point he won the wba title then won the wba super title and IBF title. Its grasping at straws a bit though

Red -IBF
Red/white/blue - similar to the ring belt.

I stopped worrying about belts years ago. Boxing fans know who the top fighters in each division are.

Until we trim down the amount of divisions & cut the proper champions to one per weight no casual fans really care.

Unless a fighter has been at the top for a few years (irregardless of belts).

Khan's got two legitimate belts

WBA Super Champion - (Maidana has the regular! WBA title) they need to do a rematch
IBF Champion

WBO - Timothy Bradley
WBC - Erik Morales

I'm sure the ring magazing champ is Bradley as he appears in the rings lb for lb lists.

He shouldn't be fighting Lamont, either a rematch with Maidana or Bradley, Alexander or even Morales are the best at this division. What about Danny Garcia?

In my view he needs to stop Lamont in good fashion if he wants the big fights next year

I don't reckon Sky really wanted to show this fight, but they have a three fight deal with Khan and Goldenboy picks all the fights.

This Lamont has been picked for Khan to look the business, its his show, and he has to come up with the goods if his to get the big fights he wants next year

The millions of casual sports fans who used to watch boxing and read newspapers see all this shit and cannot get their head around it. All these divisions, all these crappy fighters as world champions. Sitting in a pub and seeing Nathan Cleverly vs Kuziemski or Haye vs Harrison for 'world titles' (ON PPV!) is pretty much a rock solid guarantee to put blokes off boxing FOR LIFE.
