Great action packed fight khan vs lamont think it was a well deserved win by Peterson looks like khan won't be fighting mayweather i think khan didn't show peterson much respect looking to far ahead?? What do you guys think and where does khan from here i don't think peterson needs the rematch..? Khan made a lot of fouls on Peterson I'n my opinion!!

Khan fights naive and is too easy to draw into a brawl and doesnt have the durability for it.... I thought he deserved the win tonight though.

In my opinion he didn't deserve the win with that performance and i really think it's impossible task for him to beat mayweather it's just a pay day and fighting a legend and all time great i think khan gets knocked out by mayweather I'n the first 6 rounds..

Wanted to see it earlier but gonna have to wait longer for that.. I really think khan should fight bradley now think khan will be more determined to get a win and back in the mix.. ? Bradley next I say not Peterson!!

Personally I think its alot harder to score that fight for Peterson than it is for Khan, but it goes down as a W for Peterson regardless.... Khan just needs to rematch Peterson and box his ears off like he was doing anytime he settled down and took the centre of the ring.

Mayweather Vs Khan is a long way off after tonight.

A bit like David Haye. Only Khan is actually worthy of fighting at such a level.

He is world class, he just isn't going on to "world domination" like that tit Dave darts kept saying. I thought the best man won and although the ref was shite he made the correct calls regarding Khans repeated fouling.

Khan proved he is tougher than most think but his fouling was pathetic, trumped only by his post fight whining. Khan just did not know what to do on the inside.

Khan is easily world class. Any suggestions to the contrary are laughable.

He lost to Lamont Peterson who is average at best, Khan was talked about being competative with Mayweather and the likes, Khan has this thing now where he wants to prove he has a chin so he takes needless punishment to look like the big man, im glad he lost, what a bum.

Thank eff Peterson won, I don't want anymore spanners in the works for Mayweather v Pacquiao. Mayweather would destroy Khan and Peterson on the same night.

I wouldn't say he is a bum he is world level but is he pound for pound one of best fighters or will he beat any of the pound for pound fighters like mayweather PAC man or even Ortiz or berto i don't think so.. I'd say if they fought again id have to think khan would beat him but i have a feeling petterson will box long and and make khan miss then brawl and fight technically better and could beat khan again he knows what shots can't take and i seen the body shot that lamont landed that really hurt khan..! If it wasn't deducted I'd still give Peterson the fight by a point or it could have gone to a draw.. I think khan is I'n the sport for the payday which is mayweather and being I'n a fight like that but should focus on the task on hand and take it easy on the fouls.. And i don't buy that khan wants to prove to ppl he has a chin let's just face the fact khan can't box being pushed on the backfoot and just doesn't know what to do he's very good at moving hitting holding getting out the way the red didn't let him do that and i think that was very fair referring not letting him spoil on the inside..

So what, he lost to a top fighter- big deal. Man Utd lost to City the other week. Maybe they should be relegated - or retire the team. Con-artists.

He should concentrate on the fight he has instead of the fight he wants do the leg work before talking about super fights with mayweather doesnt even know how well he would fare with other welterweights marquez for instance would he handle him ..... erm no amir khan should swallow some humble pie accept the loss and rebound shut up and fight his way to the big time instead of trying to con the public he is a good fighter but was lucky against maidana who was nearly beat by a shot morales that gives you a marker of his current level IMO .

Will this make Khan more humble?

I'm on record as being a Khan fan, but a few things about him/around him really annoy me.

Such as.....

1. Constantly talking about opponents not deserving X amount of money or asking for too much.

2. Accusing world class fighters of being scared.

3. Having staff paid to sit on Twitter all day and mouth off at people.

4. Constant gaffes when being interviewed.

So.... will a defeat like this where (reading the reports, I'm waiting for the replay) he might have been hard done by teach him a lesson, in that he's not the be all and end all, and needs to earn the position in the sport that he craves?

A controversial defeat on points doesn't really change any boxer, i can't see him being any different.

Looking forward to watching it now though

Talking about other fighters not deserving big paydays is the one thing that really winds me up about Khan,he should be worrying about the fighters not their pay

Perhaps not, I don't think it would do him any harm though.

Not sure why he needs all these flunkies in his ear tbh.

Talk of Khan fighting and beating Mayweather was ways ridiculous. Mayweather is in a different league and would pot shot Khan all night.

Basically Khan needs to shut his big mouth and concentrate on his defence which is truly awful rather than being disrespectful to fighters like Mayweather and Pacman who have forgotton more about boxing than he'll ever know.
