so what? why the erection? as boxing fans you want to start enjoying fighters while there around instead of slating them. for me personally im a young lad who idolised ricky as i was growing up so for me to be doing the pads with him its like wayne rooney knockin on a man united crazy 12 year olds door asking him for a kick about... it dont happen. so have a good laugh or whatever tickles you . i posted it up for the boxing fans

You didn't explain your reasoning behind posting the thread. What you should have said was :

"This is a video of me and my idol Ricky Hatton, Can't believe i had this opportunity to do pad work with him" etc etc

Then, we would have said " Good lad, nice one..........."

But no-one knows who you are and the thread just came across as a run of the mill fighter doing pad work with Ricky

Anyway, i'm pleased you got to work with Ricky and good luck with your career

I agree with Quixall, should've explained it. You can barely tell who the lad is from the video - the whole point of posting it was that it was this guy and Hatton.
If that's not clear, post is waste of time.
It's like posting a crossword and no clues!

As I said, the guy probably dropped the link quickly and eagerly and mistakenly assumed people would read the text under the vid and that there would be interest in it as this is a British forum.

Yes it is Amateur psychology and as for being interested in him, all i'm saying is that fighters on 11-0 or something similar are ten a penny and it means vey little and you can't follow every single fighter, though as i repeat, i wish him well.

I actually thought that the reply from Quixall was very constructive (the second one anyway !)

The pressure on boxers to build their own profile and to sell as many tickets as possible is possibly greater than ever.

Also, the opportunities to build a profile via social media has never been greater - as long as it is done properly / effectively.

The initial post is very poor and would do nothing to improve his profile, however by taking on board the comments made by Quixall hopefully future posts will be more effective at building a positive profile.

big larry is a classic example of someone who has utilised the internet to build a fan base, as have bomber bellew and curtis woodhouse!

The guy's posted in relation to his own career under this username before. He uses Twitter and Facebook. The opening post did what it said on the tin and mopst people clicked through so if they can't read the Youtube text then fair play.

Quixall's stated that he's not interested in guys he's not heard of who are 11-0 so what is the point trying to reach someone like that? Kieran probably assumed this was a hard core forum.

"I'm not interested........" Yes, quite correct there, but i'm not the only guy on this forum, so yes, there is a reason to post and try and profile yourself on this forum because a lot of people may possibily be interested in Kieron !!! It's not all about me !!
