Talk of him fighting Burns is a bit premature he's not even got a promoter or manager yet. All the best tae him though.

Harrison was just a clubfighter who won a paper title twice. He's old and shot now and this comeback will lead nowhere and then it's back to the slammer.

He was a world class fighter IMO, better then burns or arther

Being better than Ricky Burns or Alex Arthur doth not make a fighter world class.

A lot of shitty fighters can win a WBO title twice. Herbie Hide, at least according to the WBO, is a two time heavyweight champion, having never defeated an actual top 10 heavyweight.

How many genuine world titles could Scott Harrison have won? I would say none. The WBO, founded in the late 80s by the WBA's bribe collector, is the friend of promoters and fighters who want to stay at home and not mix it with the world class.

Harrison was about when Featherweight was absolutely stacked. I remember it well, Featherweight and Light welterweight were the 2 divisions stacked with talent. Featherweight at the time had Pacquiao, Barerra, Marquez and also In Jin Chi who while not in the others league was a really good strong Featherweight.

And yet we're supposed to believe in that era Scott Harrison was some kind of 'two time world champ'? Get outta here!

I don't think he was in those guys class to make it clear (dunno if you were accusing me of) I was merely reminiscing about the Featherweights at that time.

Exactly. Especially when you consider that Scott struggled horribly with Walter Estrada and a totally Manuel Medina.

He was an overrated joke. A full bodied welterweight who struggled with average featherweights.
