FOOTNOTES IN HISTORY :TU:
The question is what do the following
have in common: :bag: :box:
Chief Cariboo, Jack Cracken, Eddie Godbold and Medley Johnson?

Some other names for the boxing's "footnote history".
Reg Davis, Jimmy Swan, Frankie Allen, Willie Reece.

Regarding the first group, they were the first pro opponents respectively for Max Baer, Joe Louis, Floyd Patterson, and Ezzard Charles. (But you misspelled the names, and the fourth was Melody Johnson not Medley Johnson)

The second group were the first pro opponents respectively for Freddie Mills, Johnny Saxton, Beau Jack, and Davey Moore. (And Jimmy spelled his name Swann . . .)
