already there is talk of froch fighting a 2 match series vs bute and even a rematch with kessler.
ward has said he is taking a break and has no intention of fighting in europe , he has also mentioned that he has no deire at the moment to fight bute.
froch though has gained so much respect by doing what many fighters dont do....fight the best AND away from home , this along with his fighting style makes him more in demand that the stay at home ward.
ward needs a break because of his hand , it did look bad on the pics after the fight. What i can see happening is ward going back to Oakland to defend his title....but who against???
the wbc have said that ward must fight dirrell , is that a bigger and better fight than froch vs bute???...i dont think so.
the loss doesnt seem to have hurt froch as much as people have thought , the top guys still want to fight him because they know he will make himself available to fight the best.
if that double header come off vs bute then froch will make alot of money , probably more money than ward will make in his next 2 fight.
froch vs bute twice , a rematch with kessler and a rematch with pascal at 175.....great way to finish a career

It may also be something to do with Froch being perceived as being the more beatable of the two.
But hopefully this is a further nail in the coffin of the protection of unbeaten records at the expense of tough, competitive fights. Froch has lost twice in his last 4 fights yet is more well known, well respected and more marketable than before those fights.

Maybe, but only because most casual fans and even some proper boxing fans cant see past a fighter who gets in scraps and never gives up. As great as his fights are, and as much as he gives, id rather see Ward every day of the week, and Im a Froch fan first.
For me, to many people look for the fighter who goes for broke more. (Katsidas, Froch, Maidana, Marquez etc etc etc) all great fighters who I live to watch as much as the next bloke. But give me someone as technically gifted as Ward (who Saturday night, for me, showed he is a true, true class act and surely soon will be a p4p leader) or a Mayweather, every day of the week.
Its a joy to watch these 2 in paticular box at the moment. Although they might not score many flashy KO's, the skills in defence and counter punching are amazing. Ward was near faultless against Froch. Dominated untill last couple rounds where he knew he had it in the bag.
As much as I like Froch and will watch all his fights, Il always pip to watch the better all round boxer and thats why Ward surely has to be more in demand now.

I wouldn't say Froch is more in demand, Bute's team wanted Ward but it couldn't be made so they are after Froch. It's not surprising Kessler doesn't want to fight Ward again.

As proficient as Ward is, he's not exactly exciting to watch. Maybe be Carl is in demand as he's deemed more beatable but makes for far more exciting fights, which translates to better ticket sales and viewing figures

ward is in a league of his own & it seem's know one can touch him.froch got schooled badly but is still elite in the division & his style of fighting is lkoved in the usa. no defence & big slugging punches guarantees action.

Ward unfortuanately for him, lacks a dancing partner, and his lack of KO's means that his one sided fights, whilst a masterclass - won't turn on the casual fan. Even some purists don't like watching him.
Froch on the other hand, given a willing accomplice finds it impossible to be in a bad fight, and therefore, so long as he wins enough at top level to stay in the top level of the division, is likely to find plenty of fighters and promoters willing to make a deal.
Bute has made a deal double quick - however, you have to wonder if he fancies he's getting Carl at the ideal time, off the back of 2 years of hard fight after hard fight. He probably figures that Carl is a bit shopworn, and he may be right.

Certainly the Super Six provided gave Froch more exposure to the casual fan. His fight-anyone attitude will certainly earn him more fans as his career goes on.

The doubts over Frochs limitations just seem to have been confirmed by Ward.
The way to beat Carl has now been clearly shown by both Kessler and Ward.
Carl may well be in more demand now. Kinda like an Edison Miranda type opponent. Good enough for the nearly guys .. always a bit behind the top guys.
I think he should make the most of it and get as many big pay days as possible. He certainly deserves it

Boxers always in demand if they are beatable
