http://www.irish-boxing.com has stated that Wayne McCullough's next fight will be against Johnny Tapia. I think this is a good match up, both are on the slide but still habour world title ambitions. Both have been adviced to retire, so why not fight each other.

Both are around the same natural weight, so I can't see the huge differences that we saw when Wayne challenged Harrison occuring again, I don't think it will be a battering either way.

It will definately be the end for the loser, but the winner can expect a lofty world ranking and can get back in the mix.

Good match making, I hope it will be at Super Bantam, the winner should focus on that devision cause there are titles going begging there.

I'm not sure who to pick on this one, I would like to see Tapia's last bout. If its the Tapia who faught Barrera and Medina, then I think he could sneak a decision. If he has slipped further then I go for Wayne.

I think McCulloch will beat Tapia, he has more left in the tank.

Could be a Gatti-Ward for the little guys.....

If it comes off I see more than fight in my crystal ball.....

Sadly (I was once a big fan of Tapia) it will now be a battle to find out who has the least in the tank.

Tapia looked like absolute dogshit against Medina, and I think Barrera pretty much admitted to carrying Tapia, he could have beat the shit out of him in there if he wanted to.

Tapia has been in and out of a coma more times than he's fought in recent years, and is fighting as hard as he can to use the entire supply of new mexico's cocaine on his own.

I just don't see how Tapia can continue fighting and abuse himself like he does. McCulloch might have looked bad against Harrison, but against a naturally small man like Tapia, who isn't a natural super bantamweight, I don't think he will have much to fear.

Compared to Scott Harrison the first time, Tapia looked good. He did fight Barrera when severely handicapped. No excuses, thats just the nature of the man.

Johnny was recently in a near death coma & Wayne had the living daylights battered out of him by Harrison, backed up by a corner and manager who acted like they had a Double Indemnity life insurance policy out on him.

So what happened to McCulloch v Esham Pickering?
