As predicted by many...

Many of you predicted that Matt Skelton will challenge Michael Sprott next if he gets past Julius Francis on Saturday. And sure enough allegedly confirmed that in yesterday's News of the World (and on his website). Now, Skelton needs to get rid of Francis and look good in the process.

That would be an interesting fight, and it's one I could see Skelton winning

It's pretty obvious when Warren now talks about trying to "liven up the heavyweight scene with a 1 or 2 great match ups" he means Skelton v Sprott followed by Skelton v Williams.

Personally I don't believe Skelton v Francis will prove much at all, it certainly won't be exciting.

This weekend is all about Woods v Johnson II / Rothmann v Thompson.

The Beeb screened the first Woods-Johnson fight 'live', and drew almost two million viewers (1.9m to be exact). That's why they're showing it before midnight on Friday, as opposed to after.

I rekon this could be a snore, depends if Francis has any ambition left.
I'd like to see Mitchell and Concepion though.I fought Concepcion a few years ago amateur,we had a right good brawl,he beat me on a split decision. He's strong but technically limited.Has anyone else noticed him at all ?

If Francis can recapture his form of about 4 years back I'd pick him to beat the over hyped and strictly limited Skeldon... but on recent form he'll probably get stopped in about 7 rds....

Looks like the public are getting behind Woods in a push for him to win the title, i was on my national travels yesterday and stumbled across the Crystal Peaks leisure centre in Sheffield which had a load of pre-fight posters stuck up around the place. I think it would be a huge let down were he to lose again (lol, offically this time 8) )
